I'm not even totally sure what this means anymore. New England spends most of the game in the shotgun, 3 or 4 wides. The NFL is a passing league now. I don't think it means zone read option offense, with a ton of bubble screens. But beyond that I think its become a bit vague. How pro-style is Alabama even?

I would have said Georgia few years ago. They run a lot of I formation, with vertical passing, and a full back and a tight end. But all you hear now is how full backs are a dying breed in the NFL.

Maybe its Arkansas.

I don't think there is such a thing.

Weis uses all kinds of formations including 4 and 5 wide as well as 3 OTs for some running plays.

I'm going with play 36 and Auburn.

That's kind of what I'm getting at. I think I know what its not, zone read option, constant bubble screens, huge offensive line splits, etc, but its kind of hard to define exactly what it is anymore.

huge offensive line splits,

Well, I don't know about this one. The Titans used this against my Jags a couple of years ago and Chris Johnson ran wild all day.

I expect the pistol to make a regular appearance in the NFL soon just like the Wildcat did.

Arkansas- NFL offensive trendsetter of the SEC

According to most, anything that isn't a spread ,Auburn and Oregon style, is pro-style now

Tennessee under Kiffin was as pro-style as it gets. Chaney has added a fun n gun flavor to the offense, but there are still a lot of pro style principles.

Considering he was the offensive coordinator there when their offense was at its peak, what did you expect?

Arkansas doesn't run a pro style. It's Bobby petrino's system and its easy and anyone can perform at a high level in it

Yep, a quarterback averaging over 100 yards per game on the ground is about as pro style as it gets
