Who do you put at QB for the scout team to best mirror Cam Newton?

It's unfair to but a regular QB back there, or a tall WR with speed because they both wouldn't capture all of Newton's talents.

My best guess would be to put a OLB, they may not be in the same tier of strength and speed as Cam, but they would have a unique combination of it.

Who did teams use to scout team Tebow? That might be a start...

I was thinking a DE.

They're usually a good combination of fast, tall, and big.

But who knows? Cam can throw when he needs to. He just rarely needs to

I didn't want to say DEs considering Bama has 280+ Lbs DEs. OLBs are around the same size for everyone.

Depends which ones, and don't forget, Cam is 6-6, 250.

We used our redshirt freshman QB Brandon Mitchell. He is 6'4 230 runs a 4.5. One thing though is he doesn't run over people like cam and looks to pass more, you really can't simulate 6'6 250 4.5 and likes contact.

And for all we know Mitchell may have torched our D in practice too.
