I wouldn't say he's the "least" clutch but it's not his strength. He's only an average game day coach in my view. Best in the business in terms of prep though.

Three natties has nothing to do with being clutch, those title games were all blowouts. I think the OP was meaning coaching in late game/tight game situations.

Mark Richt? He and UGA seem to cherish the role of the bridesmaid

In all seriousness, don't you guys get sick of the same old threads over and over again? Even if it wasn't a shot at UGA, the repetitiveness in this board is getting ridiculous.

Nice.

And is the definition of the statement.

He's won a couple SEC titles, finished in the top 3 nationally a few times, averages 10 wins a year over his career, and averages winning the division about every 3 years.

What's pinkel done in that same time frame?

I think you're missing the point of the question. This is not meant to be a discussion on the virtues of having a passable career.

More interesting question:

How many people will say Les despite the facts that prove otherwise, which are posted in this very thread.

I would probably go with a coach that has had top 10 recruiting classes for the last 15 years in a row, yet he has never even played for a national championship and hasn't even won a conference championship since 2005. Seems pretty unclutch to me

you asked who was the least "clutch". That isn't easily quantifiable, but we do know for certain that richt has racked up quite an impressive resume. One that is superior to most of his peers, and certainly more so than the coach for your school.

No we are 1-2 with 2 close games and 1 blowout loss. However I would agree its pretty silly for a Mizzou fan to start this thread. Pinkel is about 1 for 15 in big games at Mizzou. (And that is if you think that #2 KU team back in 2007 really was worth a shite)

Off the top of my head...

2004 vs Troy Thursday night game in a season with super high expectations for the first time in forever L
2007 vs OU to finally put Mizzou on the map as legit national title contenders L
2007 vs OU to advance to national title game L
2008 vs Ok St at home to become #1 in the country L
2010 vs Neb to enter the national title picture L
2013 vs Auburn to advance to national title game L
2014 vs Indiana, no explanation needed L
2014 vs Bama to advance to major bowl L

Saban chokes a good bit. Couple Auburn losses, GOTC, last year playoff, nearly in the 2010 BCS title game. Most Bama losses these days are Saban gagging on it.
