In my most biased opinion - AJ Brown.

Came here to post AJ Brown. He's the best player Ive personally seen in the SEC. I've really only watched all the other teams play once, but I've watched all the Rebs games. So obviously my bias is showin, but frick 'em...AJ a beast, AJ da best

AJ Brown is the best athlete I've seen play this year in the SEC.

He is an absolute freak. Tied for lead in TDs among WRs, second in all purpose yds, leads all WRs in yards per game, and second in yards per catch.

More amazing, he's doing it with 3 other talented WRs cutting deeply into his targets. He's only a SO and has been dealing with a knee injury since the CAL game.

Again, freak athlete.

There is no answer to this question...how do you compare linemen to QBs, to RBs, to DBs?

Hell, I like pussy...don't you?

To answer your question...Auburn's placekicker is the best.

This question was just answered in another thread. Who is the best player is subjective and is a matter of opinion, but I can tell you who is having the best year. Before you guys dismiss him, click on the article and look at the numbers for his nearest competition. I hope you guys understand enough to know how impressive this young man has been.

quote:

1. LEVI WALLACE, ALABAMA
Coverage snaps/completion %/passer rating: 206/29.0%/0.7
Alabama always has physically-gifted and technically sound cornerbacks and this year is no different. Wallace predominantly lines-up on the left side of the Alabama defense and has an impressive coverage stat line of only nine catches on 30 targets for 95 yards with three interceptions. Most impressively however, is Wallace’s impact on a quarterback’s performance as the passer rating when throwing into Wallace’s coverage is what appears to be a typo at only 0.7, a mark which ranks him No. 1 among all FBS draft-eligible cornerbacks and a firm hold at the top of this list.

Based on what?
Based on leading the SEC in YPC and total yards the season he was healthy....

Definitely not stats.... those pesky little things say Chubb is the best in the SEC

When Chubb was banged up last season and Guice was healthy, Guice averaged 2.6 more YPC

With a banged up Guice and healthy Chubb, Chubb is averaging 2.1 more YPC

Stats, mother fricker

Offense - Either Harris or AJ Brown.
Defense - Fitzpatrick.

You do know there are different degrees of being banged up, right? Chubb was recovering from tearing his knee up....Guice has an "undisclosed injury". But, yeah, they are the same.

In what way are stats pointing to Chubb being the best in the SEC?

He has only 63 more yards than Harris with 39 more carries.

Chubb - 107 carries, 688 yards, 6.4 YPC, 8 TDs
Harris - 68 carries, 625 yards, 9.2 YPC , 9 TDs

I think Chubb is a great back, but he's not the best in the SEC at this point.

Looking at his stats nothing jumps out. Pretty pedestrian

He plays Safety, Nickel, and Dime for Bama's D. He blitzes. He makes most of the secondary calls. He's a solid tackler. He also has incredible football IQ. None of those things show in a stat sheet.

In his career he has 20 PDs, 8 INTs and 4 defensive TDs. People scheme away from him a good bit.

Take Peppers from Michigan last year. Guy had 1 career INT yet was still a 1st rounder. Minkah is going top 10. May not make him the "best" in the SEC's subjective contest, but he does everything his team asks him to do as well or better than anyone else in the conference does what their team asks them to do.
