Since you can't really deny that Alabama, at the moment, is the pinnacle of SEC football, who has the best chance to beat them?
Actually you can, given that the team lost all of its best offensive players and has no leadership. Alabama will lose 2-3 this year (regular season).

I think he meant to say the hole is better than some ports.

This league is frickin stacked.
Not really. Just because there is no clear cut leader doesn't mean all of those teams are elite. None of our teams are on the level of Ohio State, for example.

skill positions are all a year older. The question is, how do they not get better?
Ask Jevan Snead

Bama lost McElroy, Julio Jones, and Mark Ingram off the 2010 team. They were better in 2011. Defense should be brutal.

Something tells me that Bama better watch out for the Razorbacks because they need that "statement" game. And of course Auburn because I think Gus is going to be the bane of Saban's existence.

So ... because it happened in the past it will happen again? Never mind that Alabama can't find a starting QB. Never mind that they spent all last year throwing bubble screens to Amari Cooper rather than developing the next generation of WRs. Never mind that your starting tailback has posted a pedestrian 66 ypg against conference opponents through two years at Alabama.
Let's ignore all that. Because Bama.

Yeah, they "couldn't find a starting QB" in 2011 either. McCarron didn't start the season opener. McElroy's first start was in the 2009 season opener. Had hardly played before that. This will be Bama's best team since 2011.

Who will be Alabama's two or three losses?
Posted on 9/1/15 at 11:29 am to TxTiger82
Cam Sims and Ardarius Stewart played got significant PT last year. Of course Cam Sims unfortunately suffered an injury, but to say Alabama didn't develop any WR's outside of Cooper last year is asinine. And I don't understand how Henry's 66 YPG is "pedestrian" considering he didn't see much action unless it was garbage time his freshman year and averaged 5.6 yards per rush against SEC opponents last year.
No one said because all of that happened in the past that it will happen again. Its just a good indicator that Alabama has a better chance of repeating its success because they've proven to do so in the past, despite the losses of playmakers.

Seems like Saban is usually good for one wtf loss.
ULM, Utah, USCe, A&M, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss...

Well if it was just a one year deal then you could write it off but Bama has shown over a multitude of years now that they can and do. Bama is averaging an 11-1 record over the past 7 years.

That's just a make you feel good statement. Bama has 4 good options at Qb, all were highly ranked and have tons of potential (just like all the Lsu fans have been saying about Harris and Fournette when compared to Chubb)
WR Bama has some experienced players and a bunch of very good prospects. C. Black and Adarius Stewart who is as good as any wr on LSUs roster, doesn't have the stats but if you watched him play last year you would know , he's a player big-time. Plus, Bama has 2014 and 2015s #1 rated 5* WR, Robert Foster and Calvin Ridley. Plus several other highly rated 4* guys. Bama is loaded at WR and will have one,of,the best units in the SEC by years end.

Are you seriously implying the Henry isn't a good RB? If so then you're too stupid to discuss football with. Henry, Drake, and 5* #1 RB Damien Harris are all top tier SEC RBs and will be every bit as good as LF.
This Bama team is loaded with talent but keep telling yourself otherwose, I know that's what you want to believe to give yourself hope (falsehope) that Bama will be down and Lsu will be better. 5 in a row is coming.
quote:You could but it would be foolish. 5 #1 classes in a row, best coach in the SEC, current sec champs and current owner of Lsu.
Let's ignore all that. Because Bama.

Auburn returns 7 fricking starters total?
And people think they are going to contend for it all?

Based on the depth chart released today, 6 on O and 6 on D.
But that doesn't include Austin Golson @ C (started at Ole Miss), Tray Matthews (started at UGA), & Blake Countess (started at Michigan). Also, guys like Melvin Ray, Marcus Davis, & Justin Garrett are now starters but all are upperclassmen that have a good amount of experience.
