hey man, don't be a dick. there are good people (and bad people) in every state. no one can help where they were born and, often, people choose to start a life around family.

Do you actually believe that you could tell which state a person is from if I put 5 people from 5 different southern states in front of you? Dialect aside, you'd fail miserably to match them up.

Your fans after every loss for the past 9 years. I have heard it uttered every single time. That and blaming the officials.

The former is not true - Gamecocks legitimately beat us in 2010.

The latter - you must be talking about LSU?

I never implied I could.

State variations or even regional variations don't work that way in most cases. For instance, the Deep South and Appalachia culture are entirely different, on 100 different levels. It doesn't mean you could pick them out of a crowd immediately.

But if I began talking with them, and knew certain questions to ask, it would become obvious.

Same with someone from Alabama and someone from South Carolina. There are indicators.

For some perspective, and as an example, I encourage you to read The Hillbilly Elegy by JD Vance. It goes into much of the cultural differences in folks from eastern Kentucky compared to the rest of the country and even other parts of Appalachia.

I've enjoyed it, too. ...had tee times rained out both Monday and today and get bored indoors.

I can't argue with my wife (I have to eat her cooking) and the dog just runs under the bed, so you guys are my best alternative.
