Maybe rate your opinion on how your coach has performed versus your expectations and what could reasonably be expected of them given their situation on a scale from 1 to 10

I'd give Gus Malzahn a 5/10, for example.

I assume Bama fans are not really part of this discussion?

If an Alabama fan gives Saban less than a 10/10 they should be backhanded.

That part seemed obvious.

Outside of Alabama, no one.

The fear of Nick Saban has killed the SEC.

I hope some Lavergne red assassinates Butch in the tunnel of Nissan Stadium today.

Obviously Bama and maybe Stoops if Kentucky has a good showing tomorrow. Mullen would have been a good choice last year but they took a decent step back this year without Dak.

I would give Mac a 7 out of 10. He has had some challenges and I think our football team will be more of a focus with our new AD. Time will tell.

It's Muschamp's first year. I'll give him a 7/10 because of the improvement from last year to this year.

McElwain....7/10.

Maybe I just remember the Croom years all to well, but I am 8/10 with Mullen. I learned from Stansbury that 20 wins (equates to 6-8 in football) and the first round of the tourney (Belk/Gator bowl) isn't half bad. I thought we could do much better than Stans - then we got Rick Ray... So many parallels. Throw in a surprise year here or there (see 2014 FB) and I am happy.

Anywho, Mullen gets 8/10 for me bc he has never signed a kicker and we would have had 8 wins this year with one that was halfway competent.

Ed O - Could bump himself into the 5 out of 10 category with a bowl win based on what he has accomplished this year/the position he was thrown into from me (honestly only real strike so far was the Florida game)

if he nails his recruiting class I can even think about bumping him up to a 6.

2017 will tell us a lot about Coach O. I do love my coordinators.

Mullen is an 8.5 imo
He would be higher but he makes stubborn personnel decisions that piss off the fanbase and have probably cost State several wins throughout the years. Oh yeah he meddles with the defense as well.

Bama - 10/10
MS State - 9/10

I really can't think of another team who should be greater than 5/10.

I'd give Stoops a 6/10 right now. I will hold off on giving him any higher than that until the end of next season when he has a senior class loaded with talent. If he under achieves next year then I'll be really disappointed. I think our OC helped stoops out tremendously this year. I'm happy with our record this year even though we should have 2 more wins on our record. Hope he kills it and stays at UK for a long time.

Absolutely satisfied with what Boom's been able to accomplish thus far.

Considering that most of our skill positions are currently occupied by someone who is a Sophomore or younger, and that 70% of our roster is made up of Sophomores and younger including a qb who should have actually still been playing high school ball this year, I am definitely happy with how Muschamp has done and the direction he has our program heading.

He took a team that nobody expected to really even improve upon a 3 win season the previous year, and that some thought might even regress all the way back to the nightmarish Brad Scott era, and instead doubled the prior year's wins and earned bowl eligibility. Sure, we lost the bowl game. But there were ALOT of key elements of that game that offered an idea of the talent we do have along with the tenacity of this young team and the resolve to fight until the very end even when it seemed that a loss was a foregone conclusion.

I think that there are going to be quite a few folks that are going to be fatter than Bert after they finish chowing down on all of the words they're gonna have to eat about Muschamp never being able to succeed as a head coach.

Jim McElwain- 5/10- Won the East twice but the team seems virtually identical in terms of both surface and advanced stats to what it was under his predecessor.

Worst recruiter in 25 years at UF, Offensive reputation seems mostly smoke and mirrors looking back on his career with only a handful of great teams and none (other than 14 CSU)- really nationally dominant, won two titles as OC but as with his time at HC in Gainesville largely rode defense to said titles; is far too close to OC which likely leads to both men amplifying there bad tendencies.
