Who here still roots for the SEC to do well outside of your team?

To be honest, all of you guys can crash and burn for all I care. Only other team I will ever root for is UGA because they are cool and we hardly ever play them. But honestly it blows my mind when some of y'all still root for the SEC. I mean its cute when A&M and Mizzou do it because they still want to feel like they belong and everything, but its inexcusable for everyone else IMO. Why would you ever root for a team you directly compete with every year to do well? geaux to hell A&M, geaux to hell MSU, geaux to hell Ole Miss, geaux to hell Bama, geaux to hell Arkansas, geaux to hell Auburn, and geaux to hell Florida

If we all lost, UGA's strength of schedule wouldn't be good enough to get them into the Papa John's Bowl.

I am not one of the "Yay SEC" types but this year I am going to root for Bama to push OSU and Oregon/FSUs' shite in.

SEC winning means they're not the conference that gets left out of the playoff. Which means better bowls for everyone else down the line (when they're in there). And more money for the conference as a whole.
And living close enough to B1G country and in a semi-ACC town, I enjoy watching their misery more.
There's still a couple I'll root against though.

perception is reality. If your conference is perceived to be the best, it will be treated as the best. more money, better bowl tie ins, more tv.

I like it that we play in the best division of the best conference in all of college football. For that to be the case, SECw teams have to win against the ACC and Big? conferences.
