Who hates their team playing weak opponents game one?

This guy, checking in.
I like starting the year against formidable opponents so we can learn something about the new guys. TCU, Oregon, Wisconsin, even UNC in recent years come to mind for LSU.
This year for us is Mississippi State. It's just hard to get excited and into what is essentially a tune up game. Be nice to see some young guys get reps once we rest our starters though.

It does suck. Look forward to the season starting all summer just to watch an uneventful game.

The XII method of scheduling multiple cupcakes early has (for the most part) worked well for Missouri, so it doesn't really bother me in the least.

Normally I hate it but this year I'm okay with it due to us breaking in a new QB.

After playing Clemson two years straight, I lik a tune up game and candy before Carolina. Our schedule gets downright brutal in October

We didn't play a weak opponent week one.
BG was MAC runner up and won as many games as LSU last year. And we won by 30.

Playing a strong week 1 team helps your team figure itself out faster.
Playing 4 easy non-conference games like Baylor does doesn't get your prepped for TCU level type of conference games.

So the Nubs have 2015 figured out now, do they?
