Again, you're gonna have to take it up with the governing body of the sport. Major selections start on page 114.

The NCAA will list 30 National Champions for a given year from the old days. Its no sweat off their backs. Just because Better Homes and Gardens awarded Ole Miss a title doesnt make it so. The AP and the UPI were the polls and neither ever awarded Ole Miss #1.

Ole Miss is easily the worst program- especially in the modern era

Ole Piss can 'finally' have validation with their silly 'walk of champions' as they are the best at totally 'sucking'......champions of suckville!!!

That is where you are wrong. The NCAA does recognize most of those titles you listed.

Unfortunate for you I suppose, as you have no facts to back up your claim.

In the words of Paul "Bear" Bryant:
"If a laundromat in Tuscaloosa wants to award us a national title, we'll claim it."

If you compare the gap between reality and fan's perception then Ole Miss defines the category.

They suck...really bad...but their fans actually are convinced they are good.

1962 politics played a part. That was the year of the riot and we went undefeated and finished 3rd behind 2 teams with a loss. I'm claiming that one.

Not to mention we have 6 conference titles.

We might be the worst in the modern Era (Since 1992). But over the last 10-15 years we have been decent at basketball (top half of the league for sure, As good as anyone not named LSU, Vandy and USCe in baseball, and have ups and downs in football).

The correct answer to this is Vandy and it isn't even close.

The one magazine got it right though. Good on them for not being political douchebags.

The irony is so thick here. Congrats on having an entire southern state to yourself and doing nothing notable with it.

If they were giving them out like candy how many have they given to State? Bear controlled media strikes again.

I wouldn't just name years without knowing the truth behind them. I know the truth.

NCAA doesn't recognize FBS national titles. NCAA just has a list of champions in which all selectors have named. Why does the NCAA list the champions? Because it's an NCAA sport! That's not called recognizing. Huge difference.

It's a good thing blue blood programs (including your Sooners) don't proudly display their FWAA trophies, right?
Oh wait...

Tennessee seems to suck at everything these days. That basketball loss to LSU really plumbed new depths of ineptness.

The answer to any question about SEC sports ineptitude is always Ole Miss.
