I am basing this off of FPI ( LINK).

Ranking of the OOC schedules based on FPI average (FCS count as #129):
#1 South Carolina (63.75) (North Carolina #31, UCF #75, Citadel #129, Clemson #20)
#2 Florida (80.25) (New Mexico State #112, ECU #82, FAU #108, FSU #19)
#3 Texas A&M (81.25) (Arizona State #21, Ball State #78, Nevada #97, Western Carolina #129)
#4 Georgia (84) (UL Monroe #105, Southern #129, Georgia Southern #74, Georgia Tech #28)
#5 Tenneessee (85.5) (Bowling Green #91, Oklahoma #11, Western Carolina #129, North Texas #111)
#6 Arkansas (87.25) (UTEP #114, Toledo #68, Texas Tech #38, UT Martin #129)
#7 Alabama (88.25) (Wisconsin #36, Middle Tennessee #83, UL Monroe #105, Charleston Southern #129)
#8 Vanderbilt (88.75) (Western Kentucky #59, Austin Peay #129, Middle Tennessee #83, Houston #84)
#9 Mizzou (90.75) (SE Missouri St #129, Arkansas State #65, UConn #118, BYU #51)
#10 Auburn (96) (Louisville #43, Jacksonville State #129, San Jose State #87, Idaho #125)
#11 Kentucky (96) (UL Lafeyette #92, Eastern Kentucky #129, UNC Charlotte #120, Louisville #43)
#12 LSU (96.25) (McNeese State #129, Syracuse #70, Eastern Michigan #127, Western Kentucky #59)
#13 MSU (100) (Southern Miss #98, Northwestern State #129, Troy #123, Louisiana Tech #50)
#14 Ole Miss (106) (UT Martin #129, Fresno State #106, New Mexico State #112, Memphis #77)

South Carolina
Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, MSU, and Ole Miss

Overall, I think the SEC should improve its out of conference scheduling. Scheduling FCS schools is pathetic. I am glad we don't have any on our schedule this year.

I get the rankings but Auburn does have a very competitive Louisville on their schedule. Auburn will win comfortably but they still have good talent and a great offensive head coach. LSU fans should be pissed, there is nothing at all to get excited about with their OOC schedule.

A road trip to New York sounds pretty exciting to me

I think OU pulled out of a game with us this year. So we got Eastern Michigan to fill it. No big deal, we've done some pretty good scheduling lately. Wisconsin again next year. Dates with other big schools forthcoming.

Is it really THAT much different than scheduling a New Mexico State?

Neither opponent is challenging or interesting.

We just played Wisconsin last year and play them next year. It's not our fault that no one wants to play us. TCU in 2013, Washington in 2012, Oregon/WVU in 2011, etc...

Basically what I'm trying to say is GFY

And these guys play such a rigorous conference schedule as well, it's a wonder how any of them will finish with a winning record.

LSU has been playing first week tough opponents for a awhile this is just this years schedule. I know we all remember Oregon when they were supposed to be the baddest offense around we beat them down

After all of the tough non-conference opponents that LSU has played in recent years, I'll take it.

FCS schools can be hell. I think Florida fans know all about them.

Yeah it's just nice to have at least one game to start the year that gets the fan base riled up for sec play. It also gives you a gauge of exactly where your program is headed. Bama looked very pedestrian last year and outside of the win loss record the problems we saw in the WV game is exactly what plagued Bama the rest of the year.

How is Memphis ranked so low? They ended last season ranked in the top 25. Did they lose their whole team?

This board was so sad that LSU won that game, the talking points were Oregon isn't good this year and they gave LSU the game with turnovers. LSU then went on to light the SEC's face on fire and put it out with a shovel.

I agree, I wish all major programs would only play other major programs. Imagine how cool it'd be to play teams like USC, Texas, Michigan, MSU, Penn State, ND, etc... and then other SEC teams every week.
