Howland or Pearl, which was the better hire IYO?
Bonus question, would Bama hiring Marshall trump these two?
ETA: I forgot Tyndall/Anderson. Sorry Vols & Yanks

Remains to be seen. They both have work to do. Marshall to Bama would easily trump either, though.

1a) Pearl
1b) Howland
2) Tyndall
I think Howland is a better coach, but Pearl knows this conference. It might take Howland longer to adjust
Would be close, especially if he is provided with the things Bama is promising him.

I have to be a homer and say Pearl just from a PR stand point. He has brought excitement back to AU bball and we lost 20 fricking games this year.
If you look at the roster Barbee left behind we would have lost 30 games this year, no doubt. It amazes me that Nevada is considering hiring that frick up.

Pearl and its not even close. Could change depending on how Howland performs at state. I would take Pearl to get me to the tourney

I mean Howland's resume shits on Pearl's...

Howland... I don't think this is a debate... 3 straight final 4

Howland is easily the best coach, BUT he was passed over by several schools and you have to think there is a reason.
He was basically begging for the Mizzou job and we wouldn't even talk to him.

Look at where each have been. Pearl is the better hire.

I mean I listed them as 1a and 1b.
I was just mainly responding to these two comments.

Howland... And it's not even close.

Howland has the best resume of the 5 names you have listed.

Howland and Pearl are arguably a push. Both had success. Both came with baggage. Marshall would trump them both.
Tyndall > Anderson
Tyndall > Anderson

that's why you hired a D3 coach

I would have rather had Howland, but again we were not the first school to pass.
D2 btw

Tyndall may end up being a worse hire than Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley.
