Who has had the worst string of coaches lately?

Arkansas: Petrino had Arkansas in the mix for the West but negated it all by being a complete idiot POS, John L. Smith was clearly a short term fix but the team fell off a cliff in his only year.
Now Bert has done what even Petrino's inter-office infidelity and motorcycle crash couldn't: kill the Arkansas football program. Some how, John L. Smith, after one disastrous season, has a better resume than Bert "Three Time Rose Bowl Loser" Bielema has early into his third season. After a disastrous start to 2015, one wonders if Bert puts mayonnaise on his foot before he inserts it into his mouth.
Tennessee: after Fulmer's tenure ended with a resounding THUD, Kiffin was brought in to revamp recruiting and reignite the fan base. He did both.... for about 9 months before bolting for USC. his 7 wins in his only season is still the high water mark for wins in Knoxville since Fulmer's 2007 team.
Derek Dooley was brought in Because.... Well, I don't really know. He had a losing record at La. Tech and maybe one significant victory there. The pinnacle of Dooley's tenure came in 2010 when he beat a ranked LSU team on the road. Scratch that. He sent out 42 players and out-dumbed Les Miles in an end of game crunch time situation.
Butch Jones, now in year three, has been much like Bert at Arkansas--zero results after two years, but we've been told they are heading in the right direction. The highlight of the Jones era has been moral victories for close losses. "Next year" has been the mantra of a team relying on Jones recruiting philosophy: If you bring in 50 recruits per class, one of them has to be good, right?
Up vote for Arkansas, down vote for Tennesee.

Tennessee.... In a landslide of bricks

Ole Miss. Had a career assistant coach as a head coach, then a down on his luck reverend and followed those up with a high school girls basketball coach.

We give Arkansas a lot of heat for their current situation but all trolling aside there is no excuse for Tennessee. Tennessee has the resources to build. If Mizzou can win the east in their first 3 years then Tennessee is doing it all wrong. Your athletic department needs a total overhaul. Dooley only had ONE winning season his entire career. The way I see it you guys have been playing Russian Roulette with coaches recently. Imagine if you had a decent head coach.

I always find it funny that Les only has a losing record to Saban, has never lost to Sumlin or Spurrier, and is ranked behind them consistently on "best coaches" lists.

he has a 2-3 record against richt as well

Sorry, I've tried to black out the image of that 2008 arse beating.

It's not about his record. It's mostly because when he opens his mouth, he sounds like a blithering idiot. Thus, people assume, because of his severe lack of intelligence, that he could not possibly be ranked behind people who could form a sentence.

We had Franchione followed by Sherman. That at least deserves an honorable mention.
In fact, we had Franchione and Melvin Watkins AT THE SAME TIME.

I hadn't really ever given much attention to Les speaking or interviewing, but during the auburn game when he was speaking to the side line reporter it hit me.
I thought I was the only one, or maybe he's cryptic or an enigma... But no he's just not that bright.
He uses his recruiting strategies very well.. And having tons of talent in Louisiana is great.
But les miles would never be a coach who could jump to the NFL, be amuse you need to actually be able to coach at that level.

Bert and Butch both did a masterful job of coaching by convincing entire fan bases 7-6 was something to be proud of going forward.

Old folks category.
Dubose, Francionni, Price, Shula. (All had 10 win seasons, but we're not good coaches. )

If you go all-time, I will put our list between Stallings and Saban up against anyone's.

That is Les's charm. I love to hear him talk.
