In all honesty, probably Chad Morris if he has any success at all at SMU. He's an Aggie alum.

Sumlin is finishing year 1 of a 6 year deal. If we go 0-12 next year we would pay Sumlin 20 million to fire him. A&M can't look for a coach for another 4 years. We're going to look back at threads like this and chuckle.

aTm has billions of dollars to spend on a staff ms you guys will settle for Morris? Highly unlikely.

I'm thinking Bill Belichick.

If we are going to run the air raid with a shitty defense and win 5-7 games every year I would rather do it with Leach. At least he would ruffle some feathers in the process

Dang, you guys tied that noose pretty darn tight. Why are schools (and coaches in the case of McElwain) putting themselves in these situations?

If Morris makes a bowl with that dumpster fire in Highland Park, he'll be one of the hottest commodities in coaching. Winning at SMU is one of the toughest tasks in all of college football.

I think with the talent on the current roster Brown might be able to get Aggy to play in a natty like he did with the Longhorns in '05 and' 09.

but doesn't he run the same type of offense that Sumlin runs? You'd still be hard pressed to lure a big time DC. I believe I'd rather keep Sumlin who I know can recruit, than bring in Morris who we don't know yet if he can recruit, or even Leach who probably couldn't care less about recruiting.

Clemson ran the ball and slowed things down a lot more this year I believe

Sumlin is going to have a hard time recruiting when LSU is busy turning his star defensive players into pancakes and hood ornaments, and Strong is just starting to run the state of texas. poor aggy the window has closed.
