UNC vs. SCAR
BGSU vs. TENN
UTEP @ ARK
LOU vs. AUB
NMST @ FLA
ULM @ UGA
ULL @ UKY
MCNS @ LSU
SEMO @ MIZZ
UTM @ MISS
MSST @ USM
AZST vs. TA&M
WKY @ VAND
WISC vs. ALA
I am going with SEC West teams Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. Lots of questions surround these teams as for what to expect. If they can put on an impressive performance and look like they are in midseason form and win by 21+, then I will believe they are for real.

The answer is Alabama without a doubt. They got their shite pushed in the last time they played a power running B1G team at a neutral site.

We're not going to prove anything against UTEP. The first real test will be aTm, unless Texas Tech performs a miracle and becomes contenders after 4-8.

I would probably say A&M.

Bama, A&M, USC and Auburn.

Although, I'm pretty sure if ULL beats Kentucky, it'll be their first ever win over an SEC team.
Better not frick up, Kentucky. History is at stake, here.

I'm looking forward to seeing how A&M and Auburn look at the start of the season.

I'd actually go with Vandy. Western Kentucky is a pretty decent football team, and if Vandy can't compete with them, their confidence is going to be horrible for the rest of the season and it could lead to Mason's firing. That being said, if they come out and beat WKU (and stop a very good offense) it would be a huge boost to Mason as he takes over the DC role.

I don't care who you are playing if you win by 21+ in Week 1 it shows you are in midseason form and are for real.
Last year Nebraska beat Florida Atlantic 55-7 in Week 1 last year and everyone in the stands for that game was going bananas as if Nebraska was running it up on the #1 team in the nation. They looked every part of a playoff contender. You think they would be so enthusiastic about beating Florida Atlantic if it didn't mean anything?
Same with Michigan. They destroyed Appalachian State 52-14 and looked the part of a playoff contender. The 100,000+ in the Big House enjoyed every second of it and the sentiment you could feel in Ann Arbor was that the win showed that everything was OK in Ann Arbor and that this team was for real, as they were in midseason form and looked like a playoff team in their win. I doubt the Michigan fans who were at that game, going bonkers and bananas each time Michigan scored, would be so excited if it were "just Appalachian State". They knew making a statement in that game was a big deal.

TAMU - HAS THE MOST TO GAIN everyone outside of the TAMU camp thinks they will suck, so if they have a big showing against a decent power 5 school, I think that they will give everyone pause, and it will prove what they have been saying all off season, that they aren't the worst team in the west.
Alabama - HAS THE MOST TO LOSE. Alabama wins, well hell, it was Wisconsin, they were supposed to win. LSU won last year blah blah blah. If they lose, the rest of the conference will take a dump on their heads all season.
Auburn - HAS THE MOST TO PROVE - against a decent team in Louisville, hated head coach, Auburn is preseason favorite in the west in a lot of publications, but a lot of SEC fans aren't buying the hype. A resounding win here proves they are contenders in my opinion.

I honestly think its us because even I don't know what to expect from us this year. It's also a put up or shut up year from Fedora @ UNC and they should be improved at least on paper.
We could be the dumpster fire we were on defense last year with a much worse offense minus Thompson, Davis, all our WR's except Cooper, and 2 OL or we could be vastly improved on D with several juco newcomers and adequate on offense with Connor Mitch running the show. Who the shite knows. We got a lot to prove that Thursday night though.

Any of A&M, Bama, and Auburn.
I'd say Bama. They are breaking in a new QB, lost Amari, and will need to prove they can stop the run after the playoffs last year.

As Fonzi would say, "exactamundo". Spot on analysis. Vandy needs to come out strong against WKU because they are probably going to get their stool pushed in the next week against Georgia.

Auburn. To warrant all the top 5 rankings they need to beat the piss out if Louisville.
