Jobs, education and schooling, crime, healthcare, crime, cost of living, housing, etc?

Before you run away and pick Nashville, consider that the cost of living is high there (for a city in the South and you don't get much bang for your buck housing wise). Also, Nashville will have a little more crime than other towns such as Fayetteville, Oxford, etc. I'm not sure about the education system there either.

The question is all about personal preference. And if you can't subjectively deviate from your school's town or city, please pick another.

For me it would honestly be College Station. Safe, friendly, and has that Texas suburb vibe I love.

Second for me would be Colombus. Last would be BR. I would hate to raise kids in BR.

College Station easily.

5 golf courses within 15 miles. Miramont and Traditions are some of the best in the state.

Economy/jobs great.

New Scott & White hospital opened

Crime is low

Oxford is probably the best town (of any size) in America, and it's not even close.

The one with the lowest crime rate for me. Don't care where it is. I can root for Bama anywhere.

I would choose Nashville. Major city so the suburbs will have good schools, hospitals, etc. Jobs, I will be able to get a job anywhere and cost of living is not a factor. Plus it is far enough north that it gets snow but not so far enough north that the snow is miserable and it is within easy flying distance of home.

Good luck trying to feed those bastards in some of the other cities. How could the city with one of the best employment markets be dead last on your list?

Just about as difficult as ignoring a spelling mistake I suppose.

I'm going Nashville but I would want to live in Brentwood or green hills etc.

Since almost every SEC town has already been mentioned, I'll add Columbia, MO to the list.

This thread is legit!

Cost of living in Nashville isn't bad at all. Also, I think there were like a total of 13 murders here last year.

Nashville runs away with this. If its included

Cost of living may not be too bad, but the housing market is...people are dropping $300,000+ for 2 bedroom/1bath fixer-upers. That can get you a whole lot of house somewhere else.

Depends on what stage of life you are in.

College Student- Athens
Young Professional- Nashville
Raising a Family- Auburn
Retirement- Fayetteville

Middle-aged single liberal a-hole- Columbia, MO seems like a good fit.
