LSU and UGA both seem to have quality coaches who have grown stale in their current roles.

UGA and LSU probably have the most advantageous recruiting in the SEC. Both coaches have been at their schools for a decade or more, which is really long in the current landscape of college football.

It appears neither will any sort of championship going forward.

LSU has only won the west 1 time in the last 8 seasons. UGA wins the East more frequently, but UT and UF will soon be back up to speed.

I think UGA ends it first. LSU seems to be light in the pockets and Richt might actually walk away.

Les Miles has a higher winning percentage and a national title

Mark Richt is a second tier coach

Les Miles isn't going any where and doubt he ever will unless he falls into a Mack Brown situation. He could lose to Bama every year for the rest of his career and we'll keep him. I stand by Les no matter what, and I don't see the problem in that.
I would stand by Richt too.

I'll never understand why someone who claims to be connected to Vandy in some way is the most consistently vitriolic and angry hater of LSU on this site.

LSU won the sec 8 seasons ago, and again 4 seasons ago. Les has won the west in 30% of his seasons as coach of LSU.

And what the frick does "light in the pockets" mean? LSU is one of the most lucrative athletic departments in the country.

Hell they have so much money left over each year they GIVE back to the university instead of taking money from the university.

LSU didn't want to pay Chavis which was silly. Since Bama landed their 1st #1 recruiting class in 08,LSU has won the west once. The west is significantly harder than it was in 2005 and 2007. Richt won the SEC twice early in his career as well. LSU and UGA are in similar situations. They both have coaches with their best days behind them.

Who pulls the trigger 1st?

Les won it 4 years ago, he's been here 11 years

so thats sorta the middle of his career so far.
We also have a 7-1 team, with a ton of youth,a dn are about to sign back to back monster classes.

I don't think we are in the same spot.

You can say that about any West team?

That 2011 year seems to be an anomaly in the current landscape of the SECW. UGA won the East in 2011 and 2012.

November is about to wipe away that 7-1 record. It was 7-0 until November came. 1 SECW title in the last 8 years including this year is definitely under performing based on the resources available to LSU.

GA. Good Lord LSU can still win out and go to a NY day bowl at worst. At best they back in after a Bama loss and rep the west. Get their mulligan against Florida an go to the playoff.

UGA wants Richt gone because he can't beat Tennessee
LSU fans (the bad one) want Les gone because he can't beat Bama

That should probably show you where the respective schools are at.

LSU still has 2 losses left. Have you not watched them play? This was apparent before the Bama game. Until Saturday they had a very light schedule. They played 4 or 5 back up QBs and still struggled in defense.

LSU loses at a decent clip to Arky and Ole Miss as well. If they were only losing to Bama they might have won the west more than once in the last 8 years.

UGA wants Richt gone because his best days are behind him and he has not won the SEC since 05. He has not won a major Bowl sine 07. 07 was the last time LSU won a major bowl as well.

Les in 7-3 against ole Miss in the last 10 games
By that standard Nick Saban Loses at a good clip to LSU

But since 2007 LSU play din a national championship, UGA has never played in a national championship under Richt. less championships, less championship appearances.

You can say things, but you know the difference you are just trolling like a Vandy fan with too much Bama dick in his mouth
