Will Ol Miss or the Bull Dogs initiate the choke job and thus usher in the hardest, grandest melt the Rant has ever known?

A glance at MSU's cupcake laden schedule from here on out, the obvious answer appears to be the black bears. (I always wonder why they made it specifically a BLACK bear does anybody know? I thought New Miss was supposed to be color blind.)

I don't think either of us do. Both of these games this weekend were classics for Ole Miss and State to shite the bed. We're both damn confident teams and know our strengths and weaknesses well. I don't think any opponent will surprise either of us. The only possibility I see for a shitting of the bed for both teams is Arky, but I think we're mostly fine barring an unforeseeable major injury.

If it is either of us, I think it is Auburn or Arkansas beating us. I think State's only chance at an L the rest of the way is the Egg Bowl.

Ole Miss needs to lose at least 3 games for it to really count as a choke job. We're the preseason #18. Only having two losses would exceed expectations.

Where Alabama stands today, they won't beat State. If they improve, they certainly have enough talent to win the game. Just as of now I don't see a bad matchup for State until the Egg Bowl.

I don't see State having a bad matchup, but they could certainly lose. Actually same with the Bears.

Losing a game and dropping to 7-1 or whatever is not the same thing as shitting the bed.

But when we do lose a game, the melt here will be nonexistent. Who ever goes to Atlanta from the West will almost certainly have a loss. It won't be that big a deal.

Ole Miss. State is the best team in the country period.

Hard to say. The collar gets tighter as Sunday nears. MSU survived being tight yesterday. Impressive but there are still games to be played. Many teams have made it to 7 or 8 and 0 and found themselves out of top ten.

Yea, my perception of shitting our pants and ops are two different things... I think title was meant to say which Mississippi school loses a game first. Going into the egg bowl 10-1 would still be legit
