Where would MSU rank athletically in the state of Alabama?

Now that we know South Alabama is Mississippi State's daddy we know that MSU would be at least 4th. But could they be as low as 6th? Let's break down the evidence and see:

Football:
1-3 vs the state of Alabama in 2016. Lost to Auburn and Alabama by a combined 72 points, plus a loss to South Alabama
Their only win came against FCS Samford. Samford scored 41 points

-All-Time: .185 vs Bama, .300 vs AU
Has lost in Starkville to all of Troy, UAB, and South Alabama. Has also traveled to play road games at those 3 schools. And multiple 1 score games vs Troy and UAB.
Also has a loss vs Samford in 1909

Basketball:
0-4 vs Alabama and Auburn in 2016, with both programs having brighter futures

All-time has a lower winning percentage than UAB, South Alabama, Troy, and Alabama. Less Sweet 16s than Auburn and Bama, and same as UAB


Baseball:
Lost series in Starkville to Auburn
Lost in the NCAA tournament to South Alabama

In the 2012 NCAA Tournament MSU was eliminated after going 0-2 to Samford



My conclusion
Mississippi State would ranked 6th athletically overall in the State of Alabama, behind in no particular order Alabama, Auburn, South Alabama, Troy, and UAB.
State still comes in ahead of Samford, just edging out the other Bulldogs.
Objectively MSU is also ahead of Jacksonville State, although there's not much h2h evidence to compare.
