Where would Arkie basketball be now had Dana Altman stayed longer than 2 days?

Thought he would have been a Creighton lifer after spurning Arkansas.

Too bad the Masters was the same week Altman got hired and Frank could t stick around to help with the transition.

Sure as shite better than 1 NCAA in 7 years.

ETA and yes I said 7 years bc anyone clinging to Arkansas making the tourney this year is a moron.

Didn't Cal use Arkie to get a big pay raise at Memphis? I also thought Gregg Marshall did the same. I don't understand how a program like Arkie gets used like they do.

Is that an insult? Bc it sounds like you're insinuating that all these programs know Arkansas is a top tier job and must pay their coaches in order to keep them away.

Not an insult. Just saying as proud of a program Arkie is it would be a job sought after instead of being used to get a pay raise.

I didn't realize Arky has only been to 1 tourney in the last 7 years. That's brutal

With this team, yes it is. I would say, given another season he could break out and do some big things. But after the way he has finished this season I wouldn't be willing to gamble it. Pull the plug and move on is where I'm at.
Imho, the only thing that should save his job is winning out from here on.

Still bitter that I called you and UltimateHog out on the fact that Arkansas doesn't have a decent win all season. All the while you were still spouting that Arkansas is a 10 seed after the Mizzou loss.

If Arkansas goes 5-2 to finish, they'll make the tournament given no ugly losses

Bubble field is awful right now

Arkie has some real bad loses. I think they would have to win out plus make it to the championship game of the SEC tournament. If any team has a chance, it would be Tennessee or Bama (welp, if the beat UK today and go on a run).

Oh, fighting Kentucky for the title. No doubt. But, Monk can't play very good defense and Cal is on his arse about it.

For starters, Malik Monk and KeVaughn Allen would probably be at Arkansas. They would likely be a tourney lock and getting ready for a deep run in March.

You really think Monk would stay for Altman over Cal?

If Altman had Arkansas in the same position he has Oregon, yes.

Nope. He was never interviewed or offered the job.

Yea I heard he wanted the arky job though. He also wanted the South Carolina job, but is a terrible interviewer.

Maybe ya'll can steal him away from Wichita State, though he makes close to 3 million now I believe.

If they finish 5-2 they'll be an RPI top 40 team with 22 Wins plus SECT wins if applicable

Most simulations have them right now as a 50-50 shot to make the tournament
