@ Southern Mississippi W (34-16)
vs. Northwestern State W (62-13)
vs. Troy W (45-17)
vs. La Tech W (45-20)

Looks like a lot of patsies with some really bad OOC losses there, and a lot of games that weren't losses but were equally embarrassingly (AU against JSU, Florida against FAU, Georgia against GSU, etc.)

I definitely don't think the SEC was the best conference this year. But just where do you think it stacks up?

The rest of the conference needs to pick it up. If you dogs and your shite teams kill our future playoff resumes, I'm not going to be happy.

One of the poorer out of conference performances for the SEC-at-large as I can remember in quite a few years.

Arkansas' decent SEC season combined with their Toledo and TTU losses really hurt.

South Carolina's loss to The Citadel was just horrible.

Florida's decent SEC season combined with a horrible win and a horrible loss versus FAU and FSU respectively was a black eye.

Those are the one's that stick out. Ole Miss loss to Memphis was not good, but not crazy either. Ole Miss was extremely banged up and Memphis was playing really good football.

Also worth noting is that while Missouri did not lose OOC, they were pretty much a dumpster fire all year long on offense and just not a really good team. The BYU game was a great win though, but I keep it in context with the emotions that were running high through the team at the time.

What was the best win for the SEC OOC? I'd say it's South Carolina over UNC, but it's also worth noting that was in the first week of the season. Should the two play again today, I'd expect a beatdown.

45-10 overall. Pretty good. 7 teams went undefeated in OOC play.

I believe the Pac 12 was the best conference in college football this season.

I know, but I can also look at the circumstances at the time of the game. Like I said, Ole Miss was really banged up and Memphis was playing really good football at the time. Definitely a bad loss, but not as terrible as some think.

Interesting that South Carolina probably had the best win (UNC) and the worst loss (The Citadel).

Very. You could say that if UNC played South Carolina again now, they'd likely win by multiple scores, but you could play that game with a lot of these games so it's best to just give them credit I think.

Overall record isn't that impressive, in my opinion, when you look at the quality of opposition. There are a lot of bad teams on this list, and a lot of those wins were less than stellar (looking at the OT wins against Georgia Southern, FAU, and Jacksonville State)

Reference my previous post. I don't think just looking at the overall record provides a good analysis of the overall performance. Most of those wins were against bad teams and there are many bad performances to look at.

It may be a good exercise to ask what was in your opinion, the top five quality wins OOC this year?

You know what is sad...

Mizzou or Carolina may have had the best OOC win for the SEC all year.

ETA:

Carolina did for sure and MU win over BYU may have been better than the Bama win over Wisconsin.
