We've choked this damn game away and we've gotta get our emotions in check.
And stop missing so many damn free throws.

VFL Bruce is doing all he can.
Is it just me or do the Auburn fans sound like the biggest reds ever?

Have you seen the way Colorado is shooting the ball, and some of the calls have gone against the home team? Colorado won't shoot this good all season.

Bruce made a mistake going back to this helter skelter style. You need superior shooters for this to work and even then you can lose to anybody if your shots aren't falling. Plus I don't see anyway to put together 6 straight wins in March doing this.
Those last 3 Tennessee teams were much better in the postseason and much more efficient defensively despite being "less fun" to watch and some growing pains in the half court throughout the season.
Not sure why he's gone back to this pressing. His recruiting is reminding me of what he did early at Tennessee. If he wants to compete with UK, UNC, etc. on the trail (like for a Tobias Harris type kid) I don't think this is the way to go at all.

This is the 2nd game of the season with about 8 newcomers. He has to find out what they can and cannot do.

Have you seen our 2016 and 2017 recruiting classes?
You couldn't have...
2016
Mustapha Heron
Jared Harper
2017
Austin Wiley
Davion Mitchell

You think those are the types of players the blue bloods are after?
Obviously very good players. He landed Duke Crews and Ramar Smith who were 5*s in his first few classes at Tennessee as well but I am talking about guys Duke, UK, UNC, Kansas, etc. want. Heron and those guys don't fit that profile. He was just getting Tennessee to that point where he could get guys like that when he got the show cause and the change in philosophy is what allowed that.

Played great in the first half, and kareem was balling.
You guys do realize we are missing probably 2 of our best players in Purifoy (act/NCAA issue) & New Williams (knee, should be back soon). This team could be pretty good when we get them back & learn to finish a half/game.

Looks like this Auburn team will score a lot and give up a lot of points. Canty is a chucker and Auburn's perimeter D is just bad in general. I think I counted Dunans getting burned four times in the span of five minutes.

I think he's playing the more 'fun' style to help attract players... and it seems to be working.
Once we get more established, we might see a shift back to more defensive style.
