I agree with the majority here. I have gone to LSU games since I was a boy. Wanted to go to LSU but then 9/11 happened. I decided to join the army as soon as I was out of High School in 04. I am doing college while in the service but LSU is who I feel I am. Sister went there and lil brother. Also in this theory even Les Miles or Nick Saban couldn't say "we" bc they didnt grad. from there!

This is weird, but I can't think of a single Georgia fan that I know personally that uses "we" unless they went to the school. I'm sure they are out there, but I don't know any.

I feel confident in saying "we" because my Auburn/Florida/SC friends say "yall" when referring to Georgia.

I do both I guess. "Us" and "We" sometimes and sometimes "They" and "Auburn". And doesn't depend on if it is good or bad. Think it depends more on the person I am talking to.

This has always been the dumbest thing to bitch about IMO.

If you are a fan, and support your team by buying gear, going to games, watching them on TV etc. You are benefiting and helping your team.

I have been a Bama fan since I can remember. I've always said "Bama won" or "we won" usually depending on who I was talking to. If talking to other Bama fans, then I'd usually use "we". But it doesn't really matter.

I went to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. It really has nothing to do with UA at all. But just cause I went there doesn't change who I've been supporting as a college sports team my whole life. And even if you didn't go to college, if you support your team and cheer them on you should be able to say "we".

My entire family is the most passionate LSU fans i have ever seen! You would think the LSU players are part of the family. We have always said My boys or We won! Have been to almost all games, many out of state games ,but never went to LSU.

I will always say My and We!! Deal with it!!

Some kids grow up their entire childhood and teen years on a single team, if they happen to go to another university I dont see why that makes them turn in their fan card

I say "we" for all my teams, and it doesn't bother me when others use the term in regard to their teams, college or professional.

People are stupid to get up in arms over shite like that, IMO.

Unless you're trying to maintain journalistic integrity, it's not an issue.

I say We/Us sometimes. If it really bothers someone by using those terms then that person can eat a dick. I really don't care.

I wish you would've warned me ab this sooner. No telling how many LSU grads I've secretly pissed off in casual conversation using the subjective pronouns "us" and "we" when referring to THEIR team frick!

I didn't go to Auburn I went to UAB.

I've been a fan of Auburn for more than 30 years and always say 'we' when talking about something related to Auburn athletics.

When discussing UAB I never use 'us' or 'we', it's always 'they' or just UAB.

my grandfather on my dads side holds 2 degrees from LSU and was a TAF board member, my grandfather on my moms side was a history professor at LSU for 20 years, both my parents went to LSU, my stepdad has a degree from LSU, my stepmom graduated and was a basketball cheerleader at LSU( no pics), and my little brother is enrolling in 5 months, yet I have had the AUDACITY to use "we" and "us" when referring to LSU bc I went to another school. This is a remarkable thread!

I didn't attend UT, but often refer to the Vols as we/us. I think SEC fans in particular feel a deeper connection to their teams, like the teams are part of your family, part of your life, part of your soul. When they triumph, it's euphoric, when they fail, it's painful. It's something special about the SEC, to those in most other conferences it can't be explained, it can't be understood, but you all know the feeling I'm talking about.

GOD I LOVE THE SEC
