I knew right then and there that Mike Sherman wasn't the man to lead A&M to the promised land.

I don't remember LSU ever losing to a Sun Belt school. The mid-majors we've lost to over the years were...

UAB 2000: CUSA?
Houston 1999: CUSA
USM 1994: CUSA
Colorado St. 1992: WAC at that time, I think?
Miami, Ohio 1986: MAC

Also lost to Tulane in 1973, 1979, 1981 and 1982, but not sure if you would consider them mid-major at that time, as they were still fairly recently removed from the SEC back then. We did lose to Rice in 1980, but they were a member of the SWC then, which was a major conference.

Never.

36-0 Against current Sun Belt members.
I think if you include any team that has ever been in the Sunbelt it's about 47-0.

Auburn too has never lost to a current or former Sunbelt team. They are 0-4 against the likes of Rice and Memphis though.

Have never lost to a Sunbelt team (do not play them often)

Not SunBelt, but history says our worse loss to this type team was probable 1950 Southeastern Louisiana

Is Troy in the Sun Belt?
If so I remember a miraculous rally by LSU to avoid a major upset

I think that's our only Sunbelt loss, but we did lose to Citadel in '92. We also lost several games to Memphis around that time. We fell off a cliff in 1990 and struggled for most of the nineties.

edit: Just looked it up and we're 23-1 against current Sunbelt members.
