When does the "University of Mississippi Black Bears" become common parlance?

Not trying to troll here, but we all know that Ole Miss is going to have to permanently change their moniker "Ole Miss" and mascot some day soon for politically-correct reasons (all other SEC schools have also had to make changes of some sort at some point as well, so there's no finger-pointing here). It looks like it's already "officially" changed, so when will people start using it?

If I were trolling, I would just make fun of Ole Miss for missing the CWS this year. Honestly, I'm not that big of a fan of the PC crowd and was surprised that Tuberville caved in to them when he was still in Oxford. Was just wondering when everyone is supposed to drop "Ole Miss" and "Rebels" in lieu of the official names.

I grew up calling them the "Ole Miss Rebels," and I can't get used to calling them anything else.

I'd say by 2040 or so, depending on the progression of politically correct thought nationally and University leadership.

Eventually, the cursive "Ole Miss" on the helmets will be replaced with the block "M."

I'll actually answer... when the folks that remember the Ole Miss Rebels are dead and buried in the ground. The name won't die out until then. Its too much a part of the culture of Ole Miss.

Tuberville didn't cave, he helped the lead the charge for change. It was a good idea then and still is now.

What did Tubberville do?

I know while at AU, he named JDS "The Jungle" and wanted "All Orange".

It will always be OleMiss Rebels to me and Auburn is navy/burnt orange, not that bright orange crap some fans sport around in.

Current OM students still identify it as Ole Miss Rebels though. It's cooler than the freakin Mississippi Black Bears.

Quite possibly the biggest POS coach to ever roam the sidelines of the SEC. That's a tall order, I know, but f*ck Tubberville. One of the few people I've ever taken delight in the fact that they lost their job. F*ck that guy.

Battle M flag, etc.

I guess I thought that when Ole Miss adopted the Black Bears, I figured it was as a secondary mascot...like Bama has the "Red Elephants," UTenn has Smokey the dog, and A&M has their collie. But the Black Bears were apparently officially adopted as Ole Miss' primary mascot in 2010--shouldn't we all call their teams that now?
