Just from a outsider neutral perspective, I'd like to ask Ole Miss fans what will it take to finally "surpass" this Egg Bowl rivalry? Just wondering, Ole Miss has great potential with its history and flagship status. No need for excitement for such a meager matchup. You need to make it how Tennessee views Vanderbilt, or even how LSU views A&M.

Well Milton, I don't think it will happen soon; although, I do like the subtle digs at UT and A@M.

They never will. Except for the 1950's and 1960's- the State-OM rivalry has been deadass even. Its even trending toward State the last 25 years.

Their oncoming probation will likely give State another run in this series. OM is simply a bottomfeeder SEC program

"Tennessee views Vanderbilt"? Vandy owns UT in baseball, breaks even in basketball and beat them in football 3 of last 6 years. And our academics is tops iin the SEC. Not to mention Vandy is in the most dynamic city in the SEC.

Our endowment is secind only to the newcomer A&M and per student it is by far the highest.

Are you assuming that Ole Miss will have a viable football program?
