When did Alabama stoop to Mississippi State's level?

Claiming victory for being in the top 4 in the first CFP rankings.
Things will work themselves out. You will not be there at the end of the season and likely won't be there after this weekend.
Mississippi State is still dry humping over their short-lived #1 ranking last year. We saw how that worked out.
This is like giving out trophies for participating or Tennessee claiming victories based on recruiting...

We were #1 in the first ever College Footboll Playoff Rankings. That's huge,, and can honestly not be overstated.

Nobody's claiming any victories over the CFP poll. Most I've seen is Bama fans defending against the unwarranted slurs of LSU and Gator fans.

LSU slid up the rankings when it mattered on its way to the 2008 Championship.
In my opinion, its way too early for Bama or LSU to care about where they are in the rankings. Way too much football to be played yet. What difference does it make if Bama is 4, 6, or 1? If they win out, no one with any sense would say they do not belong in the final top 4. If they lose another game, there is about a 98% chance they are out. So really, what difference does it make?
Yeah maybe Alabama gets a little more benefit of the doubt than most other programs. Guess what? That comes from three things: Winning, Winning and Winning.
For our part (LSU), we just need to go to Alabama, play our game, not shoot ourselves in the foot and we will be fine. If we win, I think we could stand a hiccup along the way and still get into the playoff as long as we win the SEC. If we lose close, we could still get in by winning out especially if Bama slips up at MSU or at Auburn to allow us back into the SEC title game.
