When a coach changes schools that play each other, who benefits more?

His new team, due to his knowledge of the old team's personnel? Or his old team, due to their knowledge of his coaching tendencies?
LSU is on both sides of this equation this year, with Chavis moving to A&M and Steele coming from Alabama. I guess if we beat Alabama and lose to A&M, or vice versa, we'll have evidence for one of the above possibilities. But what if we beat (or lose to) them both?

What about if Steele sharpens Steele and Steele gives up 70 points is Steele really sharp?

The one who didn't lose Chavis for Steele.

The coach that left has the advantage. I mean hes seen the offense too and knows most of the players.
A new coach isnt going to be able to know the same in such a short amount of time about his own players let alone worry about the other guy.

I think both benefit. It just depends on who uses their information better.
