Because Arkansas is about to make it 4 straight. That's got to be close to or is the record.

probably, but I dont feel like doing any of the research

I would assume State or Ole Miss fans would know.

Idk. During our really bad stretch State sucked arse too and stole our thunder some years

It would be 3 straight if they finish last this year. Auburn finished 0-8 in 2012

Dude we have all had some decades of pure suck arse

They're about to make it 3 straight. We were last in 2012

this would be 3 straight and MSU owns the record at 4.
they finished in last from 2001-2004 and had 5 in 6 years when they finished last again in 2006

We have never finished last

Answer is Miss State. Finished last every year from 2001-2006
Edit: this includes a tie with Ole Miss for last in 2005

Bielema's buyout is so massive that Arkansas will likely be making a strong push for this record.

Yeah, that was just a typo. Meant 2001

I don't think I even paid attention to where LSU finished in the 90s. Definitely some lean years.

Last Place Teams in the West
1992: LSU (1-7)
1993: Mississippi State (2-5-1)
1994: Ole Miss and Arkansas (2-6)
1995: Mississippi State (1-7)
1996: Ole Miss and Arkansas (2-6)
1997: Arkansas and Alabama (2-6)
1998: Auburn (1-7)
1999: LSU (1-7)
2000: Arkansas and Alabama (3-5)
2001: Mississippi State (2-6)
2002: Mississippi State (0-8)
2003: Mississippi State (1-7)
2004: Mississippi State (2-6)
2005: Ole Miss and Mississippi State (1-7)
2006: Mississippi State (1-7)
2007: Ole Miss (0-8)
2008: Arkansas, Auburn and Mississippi State (2-6)
2009: Arkansas, Auburn and Mississippi State (3-5)
2010: Ole Miss (1-7)
2011: Ole Miss (0-8)
2012: Auburn (0-8)
2013: Arkansas (0-8)
2014: Arkansas (2-6)
Now you see why I don't complain about Mississippi State playing close games and making minor bowls. 10 years ago we were losing to Tulane, Maine and Louisiana Tech and setting records for consecutive last place finishes that may never be broken. But I see why all you youngins' automatically count MSU as a win. Geez, that was a brutal stretch of football. Six straight last place finishes and 8 of 9. And I attended every home game in that stretch. Ugh.

We won't finish last this year. Well, unless we tie for last.
