What's the dumbest reason a player from your school was ruled ineligible?

I bet we win.

Jordan Wilkins entered camp as a co-starter at RB ( a traditional weak spot for a Hugh Freeze team anyway), and today he's ruled academically ineligible for the 2016 season because of a clerical error by his academic advisors. Apparently they didn't have him take enough classes to be on track to graduate.

WAOM.... That is all.

Our QB wanted to be Superman, so he roided himself out and ruined his life and our season

We had a guy suspended once because his Afro was too big and people thought it made his helmet size incorrect and could be dangerous to him. He was later given the option of shaving his head or corn rowing!

The AJ Green case was the silliest in my recollection.

That roided out QB is one of the reasons your season started out so well.

The Gurley autograph stuff was annoying. Not as bad as Wilkins, but the way it transpired with that dude taking candid video of the signing, plus UGA's administrative bungling of the entire situation - it sucked.

He committed an NCAA violation

For UGA, recently, I'd say your lineman(?) that was ruled ineligible because of the residue medication in his system from his medical treatments(I forget what was wrong with him)

For Auburn, I can't think of any offhand, but I am sure there are a few

AJ Green missing 4 games because he sold his jersey. The investigation started because Marcell Dareus went to an agent party in Miami.

HM: Todd Gurley suspended for 4 games because autograph dealer rats on him. Autograph dealer has to move out of state due to backlash.

actually this one wins. Ruled ineligible for three years for a doping violation after a doctor prescribed him medication to recover from a surgery in high school. Substance was trapped in fatty tissue at levels that weren't actually performance enhancing, but were still above NCAA threshold.

this, although the "not on track to graduate" thing is pretty damned bad as well

You once had a kid somehow avoid losing an entire year after he took thousands of dollars from multiple memorabilia jockeys.

Domestic Violence. What's even dumber is Alabama gave him another chance and ruled him out for the same reason
