What's the deal with Chad Kelly?

He is obviously tearing it up this year, but just looking at him on the sideline last night he seemed.... "off". I'm not trolling or trying to rag the guy, but he had a little Charlie Manson look last night on a few shots they had off him with his helmet off. Then I heard the announcers say something about his off field issues and Bama thinking if they could rattle him his personality issues could cause him problems.
What's the deal wth this guy? Is he some kind of sketchy character or something?

He's a privileged white kid from the Northeast. They all act the same. Very confident which makes him unlikeable off the field but on it, it really helps him.
I also don't think he has the highest IQ. Very savvy in the film room and a high football IQ, but he won't be winning any MacArthur Grants.

Honestly Chad Kelly looked like he was tweaking hard AF last night during the game... either on addy or coke. When he took his helmet off and was on the phone with the coaches in the box he kept moving his jaw in a way that coke heads typically do.

I didn't know anything about him either ... I didn't even know who their QB was. During the broadcast they showed where he'd been and why he'd left if I remember right.
There was one point where Mullen seemed to get on him and the commentators said something about Mullen had been handling him carefully and this time seemed to be a little harsher. They eluded, I felt, to the fact that he's easily rattled. At least that's how I took it.

It's ok to not understand him. Most of the greats are never fully understood. Just soak up the time you get to watch him.

He's a lot like Brandon Harris except that he has an identifiable ability to speak and think. Whether you appreciate what is spoken or though is beside the point. But it's sort of like Brandon Harris except not vacuous and dumbfounded.
