Has LSU ever had any issue with PETA over Mike's confinement on campus?

They've tried to protest in the past a few times. When LSU got Mike VI in 2007 they tried to say that it was cruel to have him on campus because Tigers are meant to live, hunt and survive in the wild. On the other hand, Tigers in the wild live 10-15 years while in captivity its 20-25. Add in the fact that Mike has a $3 million playpen, the best medical care, the best food and there is not much of an argument. LSU doesn't even force him into his traveling cage to go to home games anymore. Pretty much, what Mike wants, Mike gets except for some occasional wild tail. I'm sure Mike would have no problem with stud service, but Tigers are solitary animals and prefer to live alone.

The social justice warriors who brought down Rebels, are trying to hide the confederate flag and get rid of Redskins will need something else soon to work on.

Not sure it will be animal names but it wouldn't surprise me.

Pretty soon we'll be the Florida Orange and the FSU Spears. Lol

Jayhawks aren't an animal. I'm pretty sure there aren't actually any Nittany lions either. Not for a long time anyway

A jayhawk is a fictional bird based on non-fictional occurences. Jayhawkers were Kansan's during the civil war who would go to Missouri and steal back slaves for their freedom. This resulted in much blood shed and the eventual burning down of the city of Lawrence, now home of the University of Kansas.
