Bet you thought this was another troll thread. Seriously, ive been having a strng desire to move north, and i am intrigue by that area. First and foremost (and i may have to ask my OB brethren) i want to know about the hunting. I see a few WMAs south of there on the map, is that huntable? Also, how close is it in relation to Olkahoma pheasant and big buck hunting?
Im fairly socially liberal in all matters outside of guns, anf i hear thats the case up there. Is there plenty of good eating, because im from the capital of eating. Has to plenty of outdoors things to do, huh.

Im all ears

If great hunting and sophistication is what you desire, move to Southwest Missouri (Springfield).

Missouri has the best deer hunting in the nation. No debate.

If you're an avid hunter, you should know this.

Plus, you're only 3 1/2 hours from STL baseball and 2 1/2 hours from Chiefs football. BOOM!

It's great, Fayetteville is one of the best places to live in the country. We also have the nation's #1 farmers market if you're in to buying from local growers. The Walton's throw a lot of money around up here, and they just opened a world class art museum called Crystal Bridges. To give you an idea of how nice this museum is, when the collection was announced you had people from New York, LA, and Chicago all bitching about it because the museum is in Bentonville and they thought it was too remote.

Fayetteville is great, but wait until Springfield completes its multi-million dollar farmers market.

We don't have Crystal Bridges though...just rustic iron or, god forbid the new trend, concrete.

What the hell, you're building a farmer's market? We just have ours in the city square. And we're loaded!

Weird frickin yankees. You're doing it wrong.

Missouri used to have a ton of quail and pheasant until farmers started introducting fescue a few decades ago. Drove the quail and pheasant pretty much out of existence.

However, Springfield is only an hour and a half from Oklahoma and the drive is all interstate highway. Very accessible.

Like I said, Springfield/Branson, MO (SW Missouri) is great and if you want to visit Northwest Arkansas for any reason, you're only about 2 hours away.
