You know when your teacher at school told you there is no such thing as a stupid question. She lied.

E. Win the national championship when you were not even good enough to win your division after losing to the opponent you played in the national championship game on your own home field.

E. Lose a game on a missed field goal that is then returned for the game winning TD.

You want to think about how stupid your question is for a second and give you a chance, or should I just tell you how stupid your question is right now?

When is the last time a team won the SEC in back to back years?

Bama won the National Championship back to back in 2011 and 2012.

A lot of you aren't putting much thought into this.

Solid thread.

This, if it only applies to SEC teams.

Just because one has happened more recently doesn't mean it's harder to do.

I'm just pointing out that the question isn't as stupid as most of the people in this thread have suggested.

The last repeat SEC Champion was Tennessee in '97/98

There have been a couple repeat National Champions since then.

I'm aware. I think it was also harder to win back to back national championships at that time too. Nebraska was a monster in 97 and the mid 90s in general. We got some lucky breaks playing FSU too.
