If you could choose any SEC player, past or present, who would your starting lineup be?

For me:

Offense
QB: Peyton Manning
RB: Bo Jackson
WR: Percy Harvin
WR: Amari Cooper
WR: A.J. Green
TE: Tim Tebow
T: Michael Oher
T: Luke Joeckel
G: Chance Warmack
G: Barrett Jones
C: Maurkice Pouncey

Defense
DT: Glenn Dorsey
DT: Nick Fairley
DE: Alex Brown
DE: Jadeveon Clowney
LB: Wilbur Marshall
LB: Brandon Spikes
LB: Jarvis Jones
CB: Patrick Peterson
CB: Champ Bailey
S: Eric Berry
S: Joe Haden

Special Teams
K: Jeff Chandler
P: Eric Wilbur
KR: Percy Harvin
PR: Champ Bailey

If all of these guys were in their college form right now, they could probably beat the Browns with ease.

He would have probably been the best tight end of all time had he gone that route (college and pro). Imagine the trick plays they could pull with him in there as well.

All-time team from the entire SEC, and not a single Bama player on defense.

Seems legit.

But he didn't, I see your point but you could probably make that argument with many of these players

But could Kentucky beat the 76ers?

I'd have Wuerful over Manning at QB ... even Cam before Manning.

Too many great RBs to choose from ... pick one.

I'd have Jevon Kearse opposite Clowney at DE.

How can you not have Cornelius Bennett and Derrick Thomas at LB?

I'd have Alshon over Cooper at WR ... you gotta have one big one with great hands outta the three.

Shaun Ellis at DT over Dorsey I think ... although I realize he is a DE, I'd move him to DT. Actually, even Haynesworth ... but I despise that guy so I dunno. But both of them, in terms of sheer dominance, were amazing in college.

PR I would have Ace Sanders.

I think it just depends on the type of offense/defense you run though. Cam would be hands down if it were a spread offense and having Alshon to support would certainly help there. Tough choices either way.

Bennett and Derrick Thomas would certainly be part of the 2 deep, but, again, what type of defense would you be running with them? I think they'd be better in a 3-4 or 4-3, but the guys I chose would be great in a nickel or dime type of defense.

Agree.

Also, how could anyone not have Reggie White starting at DE or Ozzie Newsome not starting at TE?

So Derrick Thomas, Lee Roy Jordan, Cornelius Bennet, Antonio Langham, Woodrow Low, John Hannah, and many others miss the list

Also, Tebow at TE over Ozzie Newsome?

Or Jason Witten at TE.

Lol at putting Tebow in there though.

you ever seen Tebow catch a pass? run a route? block? He's not the first athletic white guy at his size to ever play the sport. You think he would have been better than guys like Jason Witten just because he was good at the position he played and "played with a lot of heart"?

guy is clearly pretty young if neither Reggie White nor Derrick Thomas are on his list. Tommy Casanova was a 1st team AA three times at DB. Doug Atkins has an argument on DL. Patrick Willis at LB. Cornelius Bennett, Lee Roy Jordan, this list goes on.

Good lord

You can't be any older than 20 based on the majority of the names.

Any list without Doug Atkins (Hall of Famer for gosh sakes) or Reggie White (Hall of Famer for gosh sakes)is bogus.

Mathieu needs to make it somewhere into that defense. Dude was a playmaker.
