What Would Bama's Reaction Be If Saban and Les' roles were reversed?

I've seen too many threads today stating "you don't know how good you have it" from Bama fans. This is funny because in reality if you had the type of two consecutive seasons LSU had, you would burn down Tuscaloosa until Saban was run out of town to Austin.

I remember after the Ole Miss blowout Gumps crawled out of their trailers to vent their mental breakdown on Paul Finebaum. THAT WAS ONE GAME.

In all honesty, if Saban lost 1/9/12 and followed up with a consecutive loss to LSU the next season and topped it off with a loss to Clemson in the Chic-Fil-A bowl.. Gumps would be calling for his head

If Saban hadn't allowed his offense to evolve a little, he may be in the same boat. Game planning to get the ball to Cooper last year was a big deal, the Kiffin hire has done a lot for him.

Nope, Saban took us out of the cellar. He could of pulled a Stoops after the 09 title

This is four consecutive seasons. So caught up in everyone out to get you that you failed to notice the obvious, even with it being pointed out ad nauseum. Enjoy the process.

...and I thought it was bad when the vols were abandoned by the HC and then proceeded to hire someone I had never even heard of at the time.

It could be worse.

Similar to the Stallings situation. We sucked so bad after that decision that a 3-point win in the Cotton Bowl in 2005 seemed like winning the damn Super Bowl.

And yet you can't deny that what I said would be true. Alabama fanbase would have wanted Saban out as HC if he had those two seasons after 1/9/12

You judging all Bama fans by Finebaum callers is as accurate as me judging all LSU fans by posters on this board with the word "Buga" in their username.

Les Miles Resume is a lot like Stallings, besides Bockrath calling for Stalling's head after the loss to State in 97 he would have coached for 5-6 more years with our alumni and fans approval. Same goes for Saban if he would have had comparable years as Gene following the 09 title.

A NC-winning HC should carry a lot of weight when deciding to terminate one after a few so-so seasons. I couldn't believe it when we swapped out Stallings for Dubose. And you saw what that got us.

Name a major university that has been wildly successful with their next hire after firing a HC that has won a NC.

The situations are not interchangeable though. Expectations have to be higher at Alabama.

This is a interesting exercise, but I don't think Alabama would fire Saban if the roles were reversed.

You guys seriously don't get that your expectations are too high. Being the 2nd best SEC team isn't good enough for you, so you're willing to risk everything to be 1st. That would be crazy if you were a top-tier program, but you're not even that.
