Put it this way, Ole Miss won't be wearing any pants or underwear and bent over a desk. Use your imagination.

Make them hire Houston Dale Nutt as their new head coach.

Anything equating to 10 scholarships lost per year for 3 years or more is the death penalty

It's gonna be epically bad. Ole miss is gonna get its issue for sure.

Just short of the death penalty.
They are about to get their nuts cut.

I honestly feel bad for what the ncaa is about to do to Ole Miss for no other reason than the fans are going to be a miserable bunch for a lot longer than they think. This is what happens to programs with a win at all costs mentality. Bama's reputation is still tarnished because of a couple of boosters that didn't believe in doing things the right way and Auburn is in the same boat. You won't see their image shake this for quite some time. Good luck rebels.

Well, Freeze is gone, and that's basically what the NCAA wanted, so they will accept the penalties that Ole Miss self imposed and be done with it.
Or... drop the hammer and put the program back into the stone ages, so to speak.
It could go either way at this point.
It won't. But, I mean, it could.

Ole Miss will be reduced to a level of play akin to Rice or UMass or Texas State
Rice is a respectable program. I believe they are undefeated against the mighty Crimpson Tahd, aren't they? Alabama's only losing record is to Rice. Amirite?

I don't see any way the NCAA will accept the Ole Miss self-imposed penalties. That was before Bucky burst into flames all over the internet. It will be at least double what they self-imposed. IMVHMFO

I received a letter from the NCAA the other day telling me I have to be spit roasted by randomly selected compliance personnel. Let's get it over with.

I agree but a question for the bowl ban. What does a bowl ban do if you arent good enough to be bowl eligible record wise? It seems to me that a team that receives a bowl ban should be banned for when the are actually eligible record wise.

I suspect the reason for the bowl ban is that it is assumed if you cheated really bad, you should have a pretty good fricking team and would be expected to reach a good bowl. If your team sucks after cheating your arse off, it won't be that bad of a thing.
Ole Miss has bought some good talent. Do they want to win?
