It was 12 years ago and I can remember the day like yesterday. I was just a 15 year old boy maneuvering through life's obstacles. Study for a trigonometry test or hang out with my new girlfriend, Katie (parents would have to drop me off at her house)? Tough decisions were made that day, but I didn't have a care in the world.

I was still getting an allowance from my parents.

I didn't have a car yet.

I had acne.

We were 4 years away from the unexpected stock market crash :(

I was pumped for my birthday in October, so I could experience freedom with my new driving privilege.

Where were you?

I remember. I was about to turn 17, I was a junior in high school, and was on a mission to get some trim.

To give a reference how long ago that day was, I am now married at 28 with kids

I was a Sophomore at UT on the 50 yard line at the bottom of the upper deck. I've been to 98 UF, ARK and many other huge games, but when that 50+ yarder sailed through the uprights it was louder then I've ever heard Neyland Stadium.

I think I hit a trifecta later that night at our fraternities band party. Needless to say it was a good night.

I'm now 31, married and have two daughters...lol won't be quite the same evening if we pull it off this time, even though I will be there!

I was in the end zone watching the ball go through the uprights. It was a glorious day.

I was on the 35 yard line, waiting for the reaction of people in the endzone

I was 23. I honestly don't remember what I was doing. I was probably wasted.

Way back then, winning 8 games was considered an accomplishment at Mizzou

It was a long time ago
