Real Tigers kicked their behind. Mizzou had greats James Wilder and Kellen Winslow on that team.

1975 Sugar Bowl where Alabama beat Penn State 13-7. First Bama bowl win in years and also first Sugar Bowl played in the Superdome.

CSB but my parents went on one of their first dates to that game. Dad was rooting for Missouri at the time because his grand father was an alum. Mom was rooting for LSU

Incidentally, I've never seen A&M win a bowl in person.

I mean they do typically have military appreciation stuff at the game, so maybe you saw military guys for that. They always do a giant American flag across the field and have guys from all the branches of the military present the flag. Also, as a side note, the Liberty Bowl generally has a pretty top notch half-time show. They've had some awesome musicians/bands play over the years. When I was younger, my dad and I went every year. It's generally been a pretty good game and very affordable

I've seen LSU win a few. But the last two I attended, the opposing team made winning fgs as time expired.

feel like the 1998 Independence Bowl was the first game after Tubberville left. Generally an interim coach will coach the game, but I feel like Cutcliffe still coached the game even though UT was in the NC game.

1969 Peach Bowl versus WVA coached by Jim Carlen, who would eventually become one of our all-time favorite coaches here at SC. He had an assistant by the name of Bobby Bowden.
They came out and ran the wishbone, which we were not expecting, and won the game. It poured rain on us the entire game - we were a passing team who had just won the ACC Championship.
I remember Paul Dietzel saying after the game that "we ran into a perfect storm. The rain shut-down our Tommy Suggs (long time color man for the Gamecock radio network) led passing game while, at the same time, it played perfectly into the gameplan of Carlen and Bowden's newly installed wishbone attack which we had not practiced for unfortunately ... no one saw it coming."
I talked to both Coach Dietzel and Coach Carlen about it some years later and they both said the same thing basically ... it was the perfect day for WVA on a rain soaked Grant Field. They beat us 14-3 and made a couple of goal line stands against us, plus we turned the ball over three times. Helluva game to witness in person though - hard hitting and muddy - I'll always remember it like it was yesterday.

1992 season (actual game was in 1993) Sugar Bowl - Alabama v. Miami for the National Championship.
My junior year in college. I went with my then boyfriend (now husband) and his family. Great time in New Orleans and great game to attend.
We were first row, dead center in the end zone over the Miami tunnel (student tickets). We heckled all the Miami folks every time they came in and out of the tunnel. Dennis Erickson flipped us off. So did a couple of the alumni players who were on the sidelines for the game.

First one was 2010 capital one bowl. Which LSU lost. Then the 2012 chick fil a bowl that LSU also lost.

Cutcliffe did coach the Indy Bowl in 98. "Pine Box" had left for Auburn, Cutcliffe was hired from Tennessee, and then came in and coached the bowl game, which most new hires never do. In fact, that's the only newly hired coach I can remember doing this. Also, I remember Cutcliffe looked awful during the game. All my family members were talking how bad his skin color was. He ended up having gall bladder surgery like the next week.
