2002 Sugar Bowl... LSU vs. Illinois.

Nick Saban got on a microphone in the middle of a quarter and told our fans to stop throwing bottles on the field. Also, snowed in NOLA that night and LSU whooped that arse.

Ah, I was reading too fast and took it as last game we saw
My bad, I don't even remember. I was probably too little to give a damn
I have a feeling it was one of the early 90's liberty bowls.

1973 Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame

Outside of Auburn any year and Penn State 79 the most intense game I ever witnessed. No one ever sat down during the thing. Old Tulane Stadium.

Only game I ever saw people go WTF to Bryant. One, Bama is down 24-23 with about 3 minutes left and the ball at midfield punting. We get a roughing the kicker call on 4th down but instead of taking the penalty and 15 yds Bryant declines and Notre Dame gets the ball at the one where it was downed. We hold for 2 plays and burn our timeouts and on 3rd and long Tom Clements hits Robin Weber for a first down. Game over.

The other being the offense moved the ball with Richard Todd at will and zero with Gary Rutledge. Bryant kept putting Rutledge back in and it was like, WTF?

It was a 'running into the kicker' and only a 5 yd penalty. Still would have been 4th down.

Forget the name of it at the time, but it was against Michigan in Tampa around 87 or 88. I think it was the Hall of Fame Bowl at the time.

I've been to the Liberty Bowl many times and have never seen armed guards unless you're talking police officers that are present at any football game

If my memory is correct, all my teams played their bowl game in person..............However I remember a bowl game that we played against Louisville in '91 that they may not have shown up for.
