I'm a sophomore at UF and I've never seen a good Tennessee team in my life. What was it like? I went to Knoxville last year and everyone seemed so butthurt over the past decade of consistently getting bent over by the Gators.

The water flowed like wine. The women flocked like the salmon of Capistrano

Their posters posted less on the rant and more on their own board.

Just because you got the internet in 2008 doesn't mean that's when the internet was invented.

I was around when the vols were "relevant". It wasn't much to speak about because they still got bent over by us.
Since 1970, they have only won 8 games against UF. That's 45 years of near futility.

the world was a better place tbh.

social media was hardly a "thing" much less a part of most peoples lives.

i was back in college after doing a 4 year stint in the military.(cause my dad woulda whooped my arse when he found out about my grades the first time around)

rc slocum was on his way to being fired which started a bit of a spiral for A&M.

it was the end of the world as those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s knew it.

They were as obnoxious as Bama fans if that gives you any idea. Not LSU level obnoxious but close.

I'm not sure if you're flaming or not but in the 90s and until 2001, they were SEC elite. They had top talent, solid coaching and a great pipeline to the nfl. Tennessee and Florida used to be the two teams to beat. As an LSU fan, you hoped you could keep it close against the vols. And for the most part, we did. Chavis always kept us in the games.

Land of Milk and Honey. There were no Gators creating response threads instead of just responding to something they didn't like. I'll give credit where it's due as well; those old Gator fans weren't passive-aggressive wimps looking for other people to do their dirty work and thus by manipulating others into doing so verifying their own opinions. They had a modicum of self-respect.

Well the kid is a sophomore at Florida, which means he may be 19-20 years old. Which, if this is the case, he was born in 1995 or 1996. Which means he was only 5-6 years old the last time Tennessee was good enough to compete for a national championship.

I know I didn't care about football at that age. I didn't start to get into football until I was 12 years old or so.

I know. I'm just wondering if he just doesn't know the facts or if he's flaming the vol fans on here.
