We're going to hear about this a lot, so we may as well get our head around it. Weirdly, maybe this could provide a slight boost to our B12 candidacy. Tom Herman to LSU would be a nightmare for the B12 in terms of reversing the trend of top Texas recruits choosing SEC schools over B12 schools. Much better to have him kill it recruiting at Houston and have those players in the B12 instead.

They aren't firing Miles to make a midseason hire. They're doing it to be the first mover. That didn't work out so well for USCe last year but LSU is obviously a much better job. To be honest, this is one of the jobs that worries me, but the SEC West brutal. I'm also not convinced Herman wants to leave. The Big 12 just became much more important though. It will be also interesting if this forces the hands of other schools (see Texas and USC) later in the season.
