Herman and Jimbo are their top 2 candidates. Their fan base and boosters are already drooling over Herman. Sadly for them, Herman ain't going nowhere nohow. Not if Fertitta, our boosters, and our fan base have something to say about it. We're gonna win the AAC, make the Playoff, and win it all. And ain't nothing LSU or anyone else can do about it. We control our own destiny. Again, even more reason for us fans to sell out every game this season and double down in our support of this program. We need to sell out these remaining home games.

quote:

Herman ain't happening in the middle of a season like this. Also, not sure Herman would want to deal with the SEC west and crazy LSU fans. I think OSU, UT, and USC are the real ones for us to worry about. Might be wrong But doubt it.

quote:

We gonna fight like hell to keep him no matter what. That said, if we win it all and/or get P5 invitation, very confident we keep him. If we fall short of Playoff and stay in AAC, going to be extremely difficult.

quote:

Here we go again. I hope everyone is right on and we keep him. More distractions Those LSU Alumns will stack the cash

quote:

Not happening officially in the middle of the season, but they will definitely start putting out feelers. This isn't the time to be making assumptions when something of this magnitude is at stake. Need to be proactive as opposed to reactive and I'm confident Fertitta and company will do exactly that. We control our own destiny and that also includes Herman. Win out and we are in the Playoff. If we win it all, we keep Herman and get into P5. Pretty straightforward and this team is more than capable of it.

quote:

Win it all this season and Herman won't be going anywhere. Team is more than capable of it. Just more reason to sell out every game and go all out to represent UH. We aren't just going to roll over this time around.

quote:

Don't know if Herman would want to go to LSU. You have to compete with all Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, etc. every single year and the expectations are high AF.

quote:

Lane Kiffin to LSU.

quote:

Win it all or P5 invite, or possibly both. That is the only 100% surefire way to keep him. Those Cajuns gonna be coming with every last penny they have to try and lure Herman down there. We control our own destiny this time around. Nothing LSU nor anyone else can do to sabotage it.

quote:

We're going to hear about this a lot, so we may as well get our head around it. Weirdly, maybe this could provide a slight boost to our B12 candidacy. Tom Herman to LSU would be a nightmare for the B12 in terms of reversing the trend of top Texas recruits choosing SEC schools over B12 schools. Much better to have him kill it recruiting at Houston and have those players in the B12 instead.

quote:

They aren't firing Miles to make a midseason hire. They're doing it to be the first mover. That didn't work out so well for USCe last year but LSU is obviously a much better job. To be honest, this is one of the jobs that worries me, but the SEC West brutal. I'm also not convinced Herman wants to leave. The Big 12 just became much more important though. It will be also interesting if this forces the hands of other schools (see Texas and USC) later in the season.

quote:

Jimbo is the man they really want.

How much money does Herman make? How much can Houston afford to pay him?

Based on the answers to that question, we can all assume to like 90% certainty whether he'll stay or leave.

They were saying the same thing about Sumlin. No one wants to believe their coach will leave. Houston offers nowhere near what LSU can offer.

I think Cam Cameron made almost as much as all of his assistants combined. LSU paid over 3 million more all together for assistants than Houston did.

Mark Stoops. And Silence.

Seriously? Fisher has a really young and talented team. He will have them in the top 4 by next season. The dude is a great coach.

I don't think Herman would be scared by the SEC west. If they don't make the playoff and miss on the big 12 he's gone. There's no reason for him to stay in the AAC or whatever it's called.

I can see him at USCw or ND. I don't think he entertains any options right now, not mid-season.

But a guy on the Tiger Rant has a source. He says IF they decide to offer Herman, he will say yes. They just have to decide if they want to offer. If so? Done deal.
