I'm going with lsu, Arkansas, auburn, and if South Carolina gets their defense and bats in order they've got a real shot. State could make it to Omaha but I don't see the pitching for them to win it

Not Missouri - the end.

Honestly none of them, but if I had to put money on someone I'd split it between LSU and Florida.

If LSU can get some consistency from the bullpen and a tad bit more timely hitting they can make it to the CWS.

Kentucky and Arkansas.

I think any of them will be lucky to go this season - much less win it all.
There are solid teams in the conference this year, but none of them are at the level of taking the title.

what? you can replace South Carolina with Ole Miss, and say the same thing. Our pitching staff is deeper than USCe. IF our bats wake up, what is the difference tween us and them?

If LSU can get there, I don't see why wouldn't have a chance. We don't hit alot of HRs so our game won't really change once we get there. Meanwhile we have been giving up alot of HRs lately, hopefully those would stay in the park in Omaha. Meanwhile our strength has been our starting pitching and weakness has been our bullpen. In the CWS format, you really only need a couple dependable bullpen guys cause you play every other day (we have Newman and Gilbert and maybe Beck, but thats about it).... We have a chance, we certainly aren't the best team on paper, but how often does the best team in college baseball win the CWS? Rarely nowadays.

If Arkansas finds a solid Sunday guy they'll make a serious run at it this year. That offense is mashing everything.

There are a lot of great baseball teams in the SEC, but no elite ones this year. I think the CWS is going to be an ACC/Big 12 party that invites Oregon State.

Our pitching staff isn't deep enough. Depending on the draw they've got a shot to get there if everyone stays healthy and then bats stay hot.

Auburn has the starting pitching (if Thompson gets healthy) to be a really tough out. Our team would be a nightmare in Ameritrade. No power station to station baseball.

The deadly flaw of both Arkansas and Kentucky this year. Just don't have the healthy arms in the bullpen to pull it off but with one or two more pitchers...

The difference is that we do have a much deeper pitching staff and the talent to make a run all over the roster. Holbrook just has to take his head out of his arse and let the guys play.

I might, too, but the "split" would be about 99% on Florida and 1% on LSU. We definitely don't have the pitching to win the 4,000 1-0 games you have to win in Omaha to win the CWS, and our hitting is not going to fuel any wild and crazy back and forth 2-1 slugfests against CWS pitching.
