What percentage of your fan base is off the deep end?

I was watching John Calipari in a documentary and he commented that he thought 1% of the fanbase was "cooky". I thought that number was really low, but I realize he isnt going to rip the fans.
This got me thinking though, how large is this segment in your fanbase? For Missouri, I would say probably about 5%. Will be interesting to see what people think of their own fans.

Just WhiskeyBent and Roger Klarvin. Everyone else is completely normal.

Dammit Stripes it's one r, not two.
And easily 1/4. At least the ones that post over on the Rivals board. We don't call 'em Rupp's Raftards for nothin'.
That said, that "cooky" translates into a pretty badass traveling fanbase for basketball that will take over just about any conference arena sans a handful and will take down Ticketmaster over practice tickets. I wouldn't trade them for any other fanbase.

I'd probably say 5% for AU. Not just the message board talk, I'm saying they are like that IRL. I'm curious to see some bama answers

Define "kooky" behavior.

My interpretation of what he's asking are the fans that take it personal, they pride theirselves on the achievements of what their fav football team has done instead of their own. Obsessed I guess.

I only have 3 LSU fan friends, but they are realistic and not kooky at all. Only one of them is actually from LA though.

This will be subject to opinion, but when I thought about us, I thought about the "Scoreboard" shirts that had the burning of Lawrence on it. Again though, it will depend on opinion.

If you think the tea-bagging was hilarious, are you off the deep end?

By that definition, Missouri's kook percentage is pretty low. We haven't won anything.
The more (and bigger) a program wins, the higher percentage of unstables glom onto the program for validation.
Now baseball Cardinal fans... Lots of nut jobs and blue-haired grandma's ready to stalk players to give them knitted sweaters and brownies.

For LSU, I'd say 5-10%. Most people have realistic expectations and know their football.

Perfect description. Scary, but perfect.
Ask reedus - he watched David Freese get stalked at a little league game this summer!
