The only one coming off as a cry baby in this thread is you crying about AU fans that are upset that the Toomer's tradition has been ruined by some deranged, sidewalk Bama fan because he felt the Bear's legacy had been embarrassed and because Cam Newton ruined his life.

really? nothing. The Toomers trees were unique to Auburn, in that Alabama has nothing parallel. They were objects assosiated with winning and an activity that was at least 30 yearsish old.
To Alabama's credit, they don't need a parallel. Alabama's entire HISTORY is built on winning and the iconic Bama celebration isn't a tree, but a chant, the Rammer Jammer (also around 30 years old). Ok, so the Auburn has to get a Auburn grad Governor to ban the cheer... we'd get upset and he'd never get re-elected, but it doesn't stop the winning and we'd harldy react to that at all. Fine, well what else does Bama associate with good times, generations and winning? Blow up Bryant Denny? Nice, a little domestic-terrorismy but still no, Alabama's biggest losses in the past 3 years have all come at home, its still a fortress but not the same. Ok. the Bear? Dig up his grave and put it on display atop Samford Hall? IRA Car bomb Nick Saban? Try to hire Patrick Murphy away?
Alabama really just doesn't have anything you can do it (that wouldn't be mistaken for al-queda) that's equal to the Toomer trees. The only thing you can do that will cause us to get angry to the point of acting like sad little girls.... is to beat us at football.
(though, everytime I read about "oh I'll never be able to take my kids to.... whatever" all I can think is PLANT NEW DAMN TREES!

Lol. Join the fray! Since I haven't been super common around here lately, I ought remind my fellow TD'ers... (best sports forum on earth) I have posted a total of 0 times on BOL, and have only BEEN to it because I've heard just how awful it is.
