I became a fan of Uga when i watched robert edwards play for Uga. More and more became a fan the Dawgs! Loved the red and black colors. Graduated from the university in 2012.

when I was five years old, my Pops took me to Oxford to see the Rebels play Houston. Archie broke his arm, and the stadium went completely silent. the lady sitting next to us started crying...I didn't know exactly what, but I knew something terrible had happened.

Reading a poster named tomasbrown_2007 refer to a mascot as a Chicklet really made me up my fandom

Grandparents and parents all alumni, and parents have house in Auburn. 7 straight years (from 91-96) of not missing a single home game (until my own athletics got in the way).

My father was a graduate and I attended one semester while waiting for my delayed entry date for the Marines.

Saw Archie break his arm, too.

Went to college at State because of my major. Also, the people were more friendly, & unpretentious.

Parents are alumni. Dad was also an alumni of one of the graduate schools. I am now an alumni and attending one of the graduate schools. Pretty much became a fan at birth.

All of my family and friends were Georgia fans, so I was too.

Never had a choice unless I wanted to be a contrarian a-hole

I was 10 when I became a Gamecock fan, it was the year of Black Magic in '84 with Joe Morrison as our coach. We were on a roll that year and came pretty much out of nowhere, shutting out UGA and getting thrilling wins against Notre Dame and FSU while climbing the polls to a 9-0 record.

rooted for Auburn starting in middle school bc I didn't like the Bama fans. Then I went to Auburn in college and that furthered my fanhood.

My father, his three brothers and his sister all graduated from AU.

My maternal grandfather, after retiring from the faculty at GA Tech, also taught at AU for a year.

Never any question for me.

Was born into it. My dad was a huge fan.

Also, we moved to Florence, AL when I was little. The family that lived behind us, their youngest was a 3 year starter at strong safety. When he would come home he would call and invite me to come over. I got to meet several of the players on the '79 championship team. I watched some of "the Outlaw Josey Wales with him and EJ Junior. When a bad part came on EJ would cover my face with his hands. They were huge.

For a little kid it was an amazing experience. That cemented my fandom.

Watching Darren McFadden on TV with my pops. He was basically the CFB equivalent Walter Payton. My Dad was from Arkansas so I always liked the Hogs but I wasn't a dedicated fan until DMAC
