He's deserving of it too IMO. Dude puts in the work...besides the cheating part.

Weird question - has any athlete been in VM's shoes where he's rejected an offer like this only to be seriously hurt in a car accident or something similar and management pulls the offer sheet? I always thought some of these athletes were playing with fire by holding out, but I suppose it doesn't happen all that often.

Well he is probably going to almost double his guaranteed money by this hold out. I would hope that with that much $ at stake he is taking it kinda easy. Life can crush any dream, but playing the odds it was certainly the right move. Double that money yo.
