Want to go tour the town since LSU doesn't play tomorrow. What is there to do?

Go out to the Preserve. Pretty good restaurant or two (The Boot), rock climbing, and hiking trails.

Play golf at Ross Bridge and eat at Villaggio.

I have no idea where any of this is in relation to the Met. I've only been to the Met once about 10 years ago for a soccer tournament.

Patton Creek is okay.

Galleria used to be a cool place but is now a little "urban." Go to Bumper Net's in the Galleria.

Yeah, just depends on what you're looking for. Patton Creek has a lot of good restaurants and shops to kill some time in. If you like reading, there's a second hand bookstore called 2nd & Charles that I used to love going to and finding great deals on books. The rec center is a massive 3 story facility with a ton of things to do to kill a few hours, but I'm not sure if they have a one time visitor drop in rate.

Realize that you got tomorrow confused with Sunday and figure out what time LSU plays.

Ummmm.

Randomly drive up and down the street and proclaim:
"Hoover...damn!"

Visit the Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Museum?

Apparently, the most important thing you can do in Hoover is park an RV.

this too, just pick your spots. Head NE on University Blvd and turn left onto 29th St. Lots of good spots there, especially for a young adult crowd. Slice, Innesfree, On Tap, etc. are all right there within a few blocks.

Hoover for you imabagent folks is a suburb of Bham. So if you include the metro area there are tons of stuff to do. Civil rights museum. Vulcan. A number of robert trent jones golf courses within an hours drive. Farmlinks an hour away is a great golf outing. Bham zoo. Botanical gardens. Several state parks if you just want to enjoy nature. If you are looking for a party scene then I am not your man. Listen to WJOX at 94.5 and they have a lot of advertisers if you are the party kind.

Maybe so...but, according to posters on this board, the only reason they keep the tourney in Hoover is for RV parking.

Drive over to Tuscaloosa and watch softball, get your picture taken by the Saban statue and visit Bryant Museum.

Head downtown a bit and find one of Saw's BBQ locations

The breweries you would want to visit downtown are eighter Good People, Avondale, Trim Tab, or Cahaba

If you can shake it there is great Mexican hipster food at a restaurant called El Barrio but while you're waiting 40 minutes for a table give them your cell number and get a fancy cocktail down the street at Collins bar

If you want to stay in the hoover area, at Patton Creek you've got a twin peaks if you're into the hooters thing, a japanese grill place, A bar/bar food place called Ontap also down Lorna a bit is a bar called Gabrielle's that's a local watering hole

Kevin Kane, CEO of the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau, said Memphis offered a $1 million bid that he believes surpassed Hoover's guarantee. He said he was "extremely disappointed" and sensed the SEC had a strong comfort level with Hoover, especially due to its RV parking lot and nearby batting practice facilities.
