Ohio State is located in a recruiting hot bed. Oregon has Nike money.
What's Nebraska's angle?

The Alabama comparisons do make sense to me, as much of the bandwagon support for Nebraska is wearing the script A these days.

What is up with Georgia's failure to win a national title since the 80's with their hotbed recruiting in Georgia?

UGA's issues are well-documented. We're talking about Nebraska.
UGA has obvious unrealized potential. It's hard to see Nebraska's.

They have corn though
Yet, LSU has capitalized on the corndog market which recruits look for, so what else is there?

You keep saying that like Michigan played Notre Dame for the title last year. That wasn't what happened. Nike U (who has taken Nebraska's place in the world as the cool program not anywhere near talent) played the only really successful B1G team the last 15 years.

You will be blackballed in your home state if you don't play for LSU.

They have no angle... another dinosaur like most midwest/B12 schools even tho the B10 has delayed the inevitable for a few years...
Dying a slow death but enough old money left to hang on...
Mike Riley was the best they could get...
93–80 in CFB
14–34 in the NFL...
snicker..

Minnesota has a brighter future than Nebraska.

As long as we consider OSU elite then I will just enjoy the 1 Nebraska fan (who I knew would take the shiny hook when I said they may have lost their status) fighting against UGA fans (mostly reasonable UGA fans who don't think UGA is elite)

Sorry, but upon further review, only one season can pass to be considered elite. Thus, if Ohio state doesn't win the national title next year then they are no longer elite. Their entire history becomes obsolete. That also means Alabama is no longer elite.
It isn't like Nebraska hasn't played in conference title games over the last decade....oh wait...lol.

I brought Nebraska up because if you are only going to say there are 5-10 elite programs, then you have to deliberate on what qualifies.
OSU is elite whether they win the title in the next 5 years or lose 5 games a year. They have won 2 titles the past 15 years and went to a BCS level game basically every year the past decade. I have no worries about OSU being called elite

Do you consider Miami elite? They really only have had 20 good years in their entire history but won 5 titles

Nebraska you wish for yesteryear dominance. Can you get it back? Bob Devaney/Tom Osborn not coming through that door.
Their is one Elite team in the SEC because of maintenance. Saban gets what he needs in recruiting and wins at a high level. UGA, LSU , UF and Aub has the talent close by to topple Bama ounce in awhile from their crown.

How did Nebraska do in that 2012 B1G championship game against Wisconsin who finished 3rd in the other division?
Oops...wrong side of 70-31. That isn't elite.

Imma definitely one of these. UGA is mostly a top 10-12 team but not elite. I'd rather be an alum & fan of a team who takes us deep into a lotta season's with a shiny hook out there where we just miss vs. 90% of the teams out there who just look to upset us to make their seasons...
