I think Jeramy Johnson is going to be a better QB than Nick Marshall, time will tell though. Im interested to see how they replace their second consecutive SEC leading rusher. Their schedule sets itself up nicely with home games against Bama, MSST, Georgia, and OM. That's going to help them out a whole lot more than people would think

our RB corp this year will be more talented, and our OL will be better. However, I don't see us having as many rushing yards just due to the offense we run being transformed from the last 2 years w/ Marshall. The offense will look more like it did in 2009 and some of the 2010 running game stuff.

They've got an easier schedule this year than they had last year, and also most of their big games are at home this year.

Unless they jump the rails Auburn should be in contention for the West down to the wire. Their defense can't be worse and even a mild improvement will do wonders. They have to watch out for those sneaky games, and the West is loaded with them. If they can keep their conference losses to one game then I like their chances against Bama, at home, for all the marbles in the West.

If you're not able to follow a conversation, I'm not saying it means we will win the NC

I'm saying this dumbass LSU fan says we have zero chance of winning the west, which is hilarious

We know the offense will be good and score points. The defense almost has to be better, but no one knows how much. The schedule appears slightly more favorable than last year. AU lacks depth on the defensive line and in the secondary, so a key injury or two at the wrong position could really hurt.

I see 9-3 or 10-2 most likely next season. Probably even with Bama as co-favorites to win the west entering the season.

I agree, Bama probably isn't going to drop more then one conference game before the Iron Bowl unless the football gods decide to punish them, but I do expect them to get tripped up at least once. If Auburn comes into the game with two or less conference losses and Bama has one then I think you guys have a great shot at winning the West in the Iron Bowl.

Look. Until Gus puts together a shitty offense, you can have some skepticism. He's proven that he can take whatever he has and make it work well. Given the good recruiting Auburn has been doing, there is no reason to think he won't compete to lead the league in offense again.

The defense is a question mark. They have the talent and Boom is a good DC. It all really hinges on him.

Trust me when I say this. Be very careful about calling your QB jj. Come up with another way to shorten his name. I think calling him jj is like putting a hex on him or something.

Hmm, good point. But as mentioned earlier we have trees back in the ground. Trees cancel out all hexes and jinxes and add 1-2 wins/year.

AMy one reading your thread and seeing some of your responses say three things.

1. You didn't want real discussion because several of your reply's are insults and jabs.
2. You have posters responding with legit answers and you dismissing them with ignorance, insults, and jabs.
3. It is quite clear you don't have an understanding of football or you are in fact trolling. Personally I feel it is both.

It's laughable that hog fans are talking league championship and playoffs after winning only a couple of SEC games. Yet question Auburn's chances and media attention. Not sure why Auburn fans are even engaging you in this "discussion" of their team.

Haha no chance at winning the west... Johnson might not be as fast as Marshall but he can throw much better and can run better than everyone thinks he just hasn't been asked to do it. We should be fine on offense and if our d is serviceable, does not have to be great, and we don't get some key injuries we will challenge for the west. There are a bunch of teams in the west that can beat us also though it's not like we play in a weak conference. But saying we have no chance is just dumb dude
